Colorado's longest-running ski resort and the closest big-mountain destination to Denver — Winter Park Resort sits 67 miles west of the city over Berthoud Pass with 3,081 vertical feet across seven territories, the famous Mary Jane bumps mountain anchors the eastern flank, the Amtrak Winter Park Express runs ski-train service from Denver Union Station every winter weekend, and Trestle Bike Park converts the lifts to summer downhill mountain-biking June through September.
Winter Park is Colorado's longest-running ski resort and the closest big-mountain destination to Denver — 67 miles west on US-40 over Berthoud Pass at 11,307 feet, with the base village at 9,000 feet at the foot of Winter Park Mountain. Winter Park Resort straddles seven territories across 3,081 acres: the original Winter Park ski mountain, the famously expert Mary Jane bumps mountain on the eastern flank, the Vasquez Cirque high-alpine bowl, the Eagle Wind backside, the Parsenn Bowl above the tree line, and the Cirque tree-skiing zone. The free Cabriolet open-air gondola connects the parking lot to the base village every five minutes.
Our rentals run from base-village condo product at Zephyr Mountain Lodge, Fraser Crossing, Founders Pointe, and Iron Horse close to Lift 1, to mid-mountain townhouses at Trailhead Lodge and Antler at Lakota, to downtown Winter Park condos along Cooper Creek Square's Vasquez Road. Most condos are ski-in-ski-out or one-shuttle-stop from a lift; the Lakota luxury lodges sleep 8–14 with private hot tubs.
