We had a wonderful time staying at Up Up & Away. Plenty of space, beautiful views, nicely furnished. My only complaint would be that the kitchen is under stocked. When we tried to prepare meals, we lacked any mixing or serving bowls and the large dinner plates do not fit in the small dishwasher so we had to avoid those or wash them by hand. The hot tub was a lovely amenity, but it doesn't get very hot so we only used it once. Bring your own TP...that's some rough stuff!
The view was amazing.
We had a very easy time from booking until checking out. The customer service was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay, to include a wonderful game room with a pool table, air hockey, Wii, and arcade machine. The views were spectacular from all the front rooms, but our kids found the best view from the loft which had two twin beds. The only thing the cabin lacked was a garbage disposal, and a slightly needed update to bed linens. Also, be aware that there is very little privacy at these cabins as you are directly beside all other cabins and on a mountainside too steep to wander. We've stayed at numerous cabins, some surrounded by woods and others surrounded by neighbors and we haven't had a preference. Most times we're inside the cabin, or out in the city.
We had plenty of room and the property was very nice. The loft was perfect.
What a beautiful home with a fantastic view! It was a nice relaxing weekend. We appreciated the fast response from the management team to get us that puck for the Air Hockey table - we had a lot of fun in that game room. (Only thing that would have made it better would be an HD box for that huge HD TV down there). <br/> The communication, from the initial inquiry, to the final checkout, was superbly done online by Eden Crest. Everything in the cottage was clean and in working order and that was appreciated. Thank you for sharing your lovely mountain home with us. <br/>
Our ladies weekend retreat was Great!!! Up Up & Away surpassed all our expectations & the view was Amazing. The cabin was very clean and tastefully decorated. The location was convenient to the parkway & the roads up to the cabin were paved and easy to navigate day or night. Our experience with Eden Crest from booking to check-out was quick and easy. We highly recommend staying here. Thank You for a Wonderful stay. Pam, Deanna, Stephanie & Jetta.
Cabin was very nice wonderful view. We thought we were booked through Monday, but we're scheduled out Sunday, but they were nice enough to accommodate us at a discounted price. Checked all my correspondence , and the dates were not on there. Might be something to add. This would have sVed me a surprise
Very clean and comfortable. We enjoy our stay at such a beautiful place.
We came back to this particular cabin because of its amazing views. My husband and I stayed here last year and loved it. This year we brought family who have never been to the area and absolutely loved it. What amazing views! The cabin is very cozy and has great amenities. The only thing I would recommend is that the hot tub be able to get a little hotter. Because we come inn the cold months, you expect the tub too be able to get at least over 100 degrees. When we turned it all the way up, it was still cool at 98 and after 30 or so minutes actually got colder. It needs to at least be hotter than our own body temperature!!! We left a note last year stating that to the cleaning crew but apparently was not addressed. Highly recommended though! We love Eden crest and we know that we will come back very soon!
Had a nice visit in the Smokies. The cabin was nice, carpets need some attention, along with the Hot tub. Couldn't get it hot.
We were very pleased with the location and the quality of the cabin. Would love to return
Our vacation was nothing short of amazing!! We had a great time and loved our cabin.
Our family which consisted of six adults stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful cabin. We had a great stay. There were two things about the cabin that we had an issue with. The ladder type stairs that lead to the loft was kind of dangerous. A set of real stairs would have been so much safer. The second issue we had was the fact that both bathrooms were in the bedrooms which made it quite awkward for everyone when someone had to use the rest room. One of the bathrooms should have been somewhere in the cabin where it was out in the open. Even just a half bath somewhere other than in the bedrooms. Aside from the two issues everything else was great!
Great views of the mountains. Cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay. Close to Pigeon Forge. Not a lot of grass for the dogs, but didn't create a problem. Glad it was pet friendly. We will be returning in the future.
The biggest problem was the noise that went on for two nights. First night I was waking at 1 and then the next morning they were standing outside shouting to the cabin on the next level at 7 in the morning. The second night they final went to bed at 4 in the morning. I think there should be a rule if you stay there no one is allowed to be outside having a party after 10 they must be inside the cabin at that time. Some people are so rude.
Excellent view, clean, comfortable, well appointed & decorated. Carpet on steps and basement needs cleaning/replaced. Mats in kitchen needs replaced - David tripped on loose mat and had a very hard fall and had mild concussion - still recuperating. Had incorrect code on letter for turning alarm off - very unnerving and neighborhood disturbance - took several calls and apx an hour to get help with correct code! Not a good experience for anyone - especially older folks like us!
We loved the Pet Friendly Cabin. Loved the classic video game downstairs & the pool table.<br/>Wished the hot tub had been working properly, but overall was great! Will be back!
We enjoyed are stay at Up, Up and Away very much. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The location is great. It is far enough up in the mountains to enjoy the spectacular view, yet, close enough to all the conveniences. We had a problem with our air conditioning the last day of our trip and it was handled in a timely and professional manner. The cabin is also dog friendly which is great. The only downside is, with that in mind, there isn't a place right at the cabin for a dog to use for potty purposes. That had nothing to do with the property itself, just the way the resort in built. You can, however, find a sufficient place for your dog with a short walk. We would definitely consider renting this property again.
Beautiful views, great location, paved access all the way up mountain is wonderful, carpet needs to be cleaned in cabin ( lots of dirty spots ) and ladder leading to loft area is unsafe so this area was unable to be used.
My family and I enjoyed this house very very much. It has enough room at least two families. The View was unbelievable and all the amenities perfect
Great little cabin with an excellent view. Past reviews indicated hot tub didn't heat up but worked fine for us. The DVD player in the main room was broken, but that was my only complaint. Cabin is packed in among many others, so don't expect an isolated stay. The community was quiet overall.
We enjoyed our trip.
We have stayed in numerous cabins in the past but never used Eden Crest before. I must say from start to finish this was the best experience ever of any we have stayed in! The check in super easy as well as checking out. The cabin was spectacular! Fully equipped, clean and had amazing views!! Would use again in the future! :)
Nice resort with easy access to cabin. Convienent to Pigeon Forge. Cabin nice and roomy with fun games and beautiful views!
The house was clean and as described, but we were slightly annoyed not to have any coffee filters, salt, or pepper provided. Those are minimal items that we think should be in a "fully stocked kitchen." When we called about a coffee filter for the next day, the staff replied that we should have received a welcome basket that included it (we did not), but at 6pm there was no way to get us one. There was no further follow up on their end.
Amazing view, lots of space, great game room, fully equipped kitchen, best location , easy assess and still way up there! Easy checking in and out, close to attractions, very clean, great for the whole family including our dog! Out of 9 cabins, 2 motels, this was by far the best! Edencrest was very accommodating .<br/>Do the Zip lines there at the resort! Wow! Enjoy the park! It's incredible.
We enjoyed the cabin, the decor, and the view. Everything was laid out nicely and the unit was very clean/well appointed. It was close to zip lining (which we did & loved) and only a short drive to town and the Smoky Mountains National Park. I would highly recommend this property. The only issue we had was that the door code was not provided and so when we arrived tired (and in the rain) we ended up needing to make a phone call to get into our unit.
Our stay was wonderful once we got inside. We requested an early check in and were told months earlier that every provision was being made to accommodate our special needs. The day of we had to call repeatedly to be allowed in. We literally stood outside the house while the cleaning crew finished and called Eden Crest to get our door code. It was 3:45pm. Our email with the door code didn't come for another 50minutes. I'm glad we didn't wait. Cleaning people told us of a malfunctioning hot tub and said maintenance was called. When maintenance finally showed hours later they came for other reasons and knew nothing of the hot tub and said they would have to come back to fix the hot tub. They never did and we were never contacted again. Luckily it was so hot and we had such a busy schedule we never actually wanted to use the hot tub. <br/>The home itself was wonderful. Spacious and clean. The loft stairs are unique and could be hard to navigate for little kids and the elderly. We did just fine though and our kids loved it. The community was gorgeous and quiet during our entire stay. We would absolutely stay again and again we would make sure we stayed on top of the staff to make sure we got our needs met.
First time to the Smokieschool! We stayed in Up Up & Away. Breath taking views. The cabin was clean and very spacious. Very disappointed that we were not able use the pool. The pictures should be removed from the website and it should be stated some where on the website. I know next time to make sure when access to the pool in included. The hot tub was not working 100% I did read others people's comments that is wasn't workingredients properly.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Up Up & Away cabin. It was spacious, clean, and very accessible. The location was fantastic as well. When dealing with Eden Crest, I was very pleased with their customer service skills. They provided any assistance that they were able to and ensured that we were fully satisfied. I would be more than happy to rent a cabin through Eden Crest in the future.
I was concerned that the tv was not working fro all channels in the master bedroom. Also property was a little dirty, floor was sticky and restroom did not appear clean. I also did not like the fact that the coupons being offered were not in the house as we were told they would be. We had to drive some distance to get them and by the time we got them we lost out on a day of using them
Cabin was very clean. The view was amazing . The kids enjoyed the pool table and other games in the basement . Driving distance from cabin to Pidgeon Forge was not bad at all, just about 5 1/2 miles from the downtown area. Would definitely recommend as a nice family cabin.
We really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful cabin the view was just breath taking and Eden Crest was the best rental company we have ever had and we have been renting cabins for 30 years, can't wait to come back
We had a great experience staying in a beautiful log cabin (Up, Uo & Away) in the Smokies. The management company was very helpful and made check-in and check-out very easy and convenient.
Excellent reservation staff and simple confirmation system. Loved having lock codes sent to you and the Eden Crest App is really a plus (maps, info, codes, etc) and decrease the hassle of check-in. Legacy Resort is one of my favorite places to stay with one, if not the best views of the Smokeys. Enjoyed our cabin, clean and neat and gorgeous. You are staying around some other cabins but felt fairly private. Only negative was that someone forgot to turn on the hot tub before arrival...but hey, if that's the worst thing that happens, you know it was a good stay...Enjoy this property as much as we did..oh, and the pool is really great with another cool view of the mountains.
Up, Up, and Away was an amazing cabin that had everything we needed. The view was breathtaking and the cabin was very clean. When we arrived, the hot tub was not warm enough but maintenance came out within a few hours and fixed it. (it was set on an energy saving mode) The cabin was absolutely perfect except we had 3 couples staying in it and both of the bathrooms are located within the 2 bedrooms which made going to the restroom at night inconvenient because you had to walk into one of the bedrooms to use it. Overall, we had the best vacation and would recommend it to anyone!
very good
It absolutely loved the cabin that we stayed in. It was a perfect getaway. ! The only thing was that I was not able to go in the cabin until 4 o clock . I paid more then what I actually stayed . I only stayed for a whole day really. But overall I am very pleased with my stay . I will recommend though !!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Legacy Mountain Resort. However, my husband forgot his hearing aids at the cabin upon our departure. We called as soon as he realized he had left them. We were really hoping that they would be recovered, but not so. I called everyday several times a day for three days. No one checked for the hearing aids until after some other family had checked into the cabin. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed that they were not recovered. It seemed from what we were told that you could not contact your cleaning crew until later in the day. We feel had you checked sooner, the results could have been much different. Not only is my husband without his hearing aids, but since they were worth over $8000.00 they will be difficult to replace! <br/><br/>
The cabin was well kept and tucked away from the busy downtown area for our own little relaxing quiet place with beautiful views of the smoky mountains.
Fantastic location, close enough to town to enjoy the town, far enough away to feel secluded. Great view of the mountains. Very clean cabin, nice big TV downstairs, nice jacuzzi and indoor big tub. Floor of hot tub felt like it needed to be cleaned but we didn't use it much bc of pregnant wife. The game system was very cool, a bunch of old games. The only negative was the stairway to the loft is very steep and not suitable for youngsters or elderly or pregnant. The freebies for ice cream and restaurant are a great benefit and super tasty. David with Eden Crest was GREAT to work with. He recommended this cabin and I couldn't have been happier
If the view is your focal point, it will not disappoint you. The complex was not as secluded as I would have liked, but that didn't cause us any issues. The cabin itself was comfortable and clean, but did show the wears and tears of heavy use. There was a couple of maintenance issues that should have been corrected like 1/3 of the light bulbs being burned out. The other problem was the hot tub. I had seen in a couple of reviews when I was making my decision on where to stay, that the hot tub didn't get very warm. I specifically asked if the hot tub had been repaired. I was assured that it had. The hot tub was the biggest disappointment of the entire trip. It struggled to get over 90 degress and less than half of the jets worked. The misleading information that I was provided on the "community pool", complete with pictures were very inviting. I was excited to visit the pool which was a short walk from this cabin. Upon arrival I was told that this pool was for other property owners, not Eden Crest. I called Eden Crest to find out what was going on, and learned the community pool is a 10-15 minute drive from the cabin.
Was a mini vacation for the family dog included. We found Up Up and Away cabin to perfect for the five of us. Loved the game room and the view was amazing. We could see for miles. We plan to go back in the spring. Everything was comfortable and clean.
Our rental experience was a great three night adventure.. The cabin was extremely clean and on point with all amenities, no need to leave. Up Up Away is dog friendly, which was great for me because I was sble to bring baby with me. I must say he truly enjoyed his stay as well.. The property location was convinent and close to all the exciting things going on in the area... I would highly recommend this cabin to a family with children or it's great for 2 couples.
We had a awsome time here. Absolutely beautiful! Nice & Clean. We are recommending this cabin to all our friends!
The cabin & location was great!! A broom would be great for future guest because after a few days floors need sweeping.
We had a great time. The only issue we had was hot was not working the first day we called the nezt morning they had someone out there to fix by 2pm. We loved the location will be staying with eden crest next year.
I understand that this is a pet friendly rental, however, the downstairs carpet is horrible. We came back to the cabin the first afternoon and we were hit with the smell of pet urine about halfway down the stairs. The carpet either needs to be cleaned regularly or should be pulled up entirely. You could look at the carpet and see the stains. Disgusting. My son wanted to play the Wii but you could only play in black and white. Something was wrong with the color. The short pool stick was broken too. The tip was not attached. The logs on top of the stairs at the kitchen are loose. Blinds were extremely dusty and one of the kitchen drawers/cabinets had a film of dust on the inside. The hot tub had serious problems heating up. If you like a cold hot tub, this place is for you. My husband and son wanted to go to the pool one afternoon. Hours are only 10-6. We were out most days and returned in the early evening. Would have loved to take a swim since it doesn't get dark until 9 pm. Same for the fitness room. The fitness room hours were from 10-6 and it was inside the lobby of the clubhouse. There was someone working in the room with all the workout equipment. The views were nice, but the cabin is extremely close to the cabins next door and below. From our deck, we could look into the cabin below and see them having dinner at the table. I understand that this cabin is in a resort, but I didn't expect to be so close to our 'neighbors'. By looking over prior reviews, I see that the hot tub and carpet is an ongoing issues. Apparently the owners don't care enough to do something about it. That's a shame.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The view from the deck is breathtaking and the cabin was well-maintained and clean. The jacuzzi tub was a plus. However, the WiFi was extremely slow and we contacted management about this several times. We were told someone would be out to check on this. After 24 hours of not hearing anything back, we contacted Eden Crest and were told that due to the location of the cabin the WiFi was working at full-speed. I work a side job that requires me to be online for several hours a day, otherwise WiFi would not have been all that important on vacation. Also, the hot tub lost heat midway through our stay. Again, management was contacted about the situation and we were told someone would be out to look into it. Not having the hot tub working was a disappointment as it was one of the things we were looking forward to at the cabin. If someone came out, we were not notified and the heat never came back on in the tub. As a recommendation, sturdier cooking utensils would be good as the plastic spatula was unable to lift our lasagna out of the pan.
