Very spacious and comfortable, plenty of room for the 6 people we had there. The pool is a great way to cool off when you get back from one of the awesome area activities. Would recommend and stay here again!

We rented this property for the deck and the views, and they did not disappoint!

The house is in a great location with beautiful bird sounds all day. A little dated with the furniture and needs new mattresses. <br/>Lovely patio to sit out almost any part of the day to enjoy the view of the island and ocean. <br/>We tried to use the Jacuzzi tub the last night and didn&#x2019;t work. The hot water heater must be pretty small because only one person in our party could take a shower at a time.

The home is exactly as pictured. Please keep in mind that there are 2 entrances, front entrance requires going up a lot of stairs to get into the main living room, the back entrance requires a car w/ high bottom clearance, to get to the top of the steep driveway. Wasn&#x2019;t a problem for us at all; we took the SUV to the top parking and parked the convertible downstairs. There is no AC but the house but that was a non issue for us, there&#x2019;s tons of windows and the breeze coming through kept the house at a perfect temperature. I loved that the house was equipped w/ plenty of beach toys and gear. Comfy beds, lots of linens, toiletry items and even a closet stocked w/ sunscreens, lotions and aloe (that I discovered after the fact) and kitchen was fully stocked (we left it more stocked!) with spices and sauces. Home is located in a great location. This home is definitely a gem for the price! My only disappointment was that the pool is located across the driveway, from of the house; it gets sun but not enough to warm the water enough (we went in February), so the water was too cold to get in.

We had a great time staying at the beautiful property. The house was clean and welcoming. There was plenty of room to accommodate our family. My favorite part of our stay was eating dinner on the deck and watching the incredible sunsets. In addition to the house being fabulous, the property management team members were all very attentive and quick to respond to any questions/needs we had. We would definitely book another property with Knutson & Associates.

Overall, I recommend this property. Management company was very communicative and thorough, we had no issues during our stay. Pool was a huge plus, there were a lot of pool floats and toys already there to use. However, I'd note that, as many others noted in their reviews, the driveway is VERY steep and can be problematic for certain types of cars or walking up/down and there are a LOT of stairs inside, which wasn't an issue for us, but I can imagine might be a concern for others. Interior was clean and overall I enjoyed the open space concept. However, some of the decor and other accents throughout the house are very outdated and old/worn out. The view from the lanai, however, can't be beat!

Overall the house was as described. It has a beautiful view, appliances and everything worked, and it was clean. The only problem was getting in because the form had said a key box with a code at the front of the house which was not at the front and the code was for the actual door and not the lockbox. Maybe it was an update but I think they just need to update the form.

What you are looking at is exactly what you get, the home has a great outdoor appeal with foliage,<br/> pathways,gardens and yes the pool area is awesome.The pillars in front make it mansion styling and this all is in the drive up the driveway.The interior is very large and open,kitchen has all you need,loads of seating,towels,bedding,pillows,nicely finished and lived in,which gives it a very comfortable feel,but,but, when you step out on the covered deck,yahoo folks,second to none, the experience will be all yours, fill the fridge with your favorite beverages head outside sit down and guaranteed you'll be having this memory stick forever in your collection,amazing.The staff at Knutson are absolutley first rate and have supplied you with an amazing vacation rental,well done,well done <br/><br/><br/>

Family trip to hawaii. The pool was a great size and the landscape kept it private. My 7 year old was fine in the shallow end and gets to about 5 1/2 ft deep. Toys and beach chairs were there. Only a short drive to magic sand beach. The house was spacious and the deck was perfect. The view was nice allowing amazing sunsets.

We went there for our 30th anniversary. The house is incredible with rooms for for entire family. Having bathrooms for each couple was especially nice. Very quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again. Short drive to town for shopping or fun.

Big island vacation. The location of the house was great, but you need a car. The property is beautiful with amazing sunsets and views for days! The pool is great and pool deck gets a nice amount of sun. The house could use some work. The kitchen is decently equipped but the knives are dull, broken and pretty cheap. The patio screen doors fall off the track a lot and need to be replaced as they are patched together. The ceiling fans all need to be replace as they are loud and don&#x2019;t move much air anymore. The patio furniture consists of two chairs two side tables and two dining tables. It would be nice to have a place for 4-6 people to sit comfortably and enjoy the great sunset/ views! The carpet in the house has to be replaced as it has lots of stains and is kinda gross. The home had lots of great beach toys and chairs to use. Knutson was easy to work with and I would rent a property form them again, all in all it was a great vacation. I know this review looks bad but it&#x2019;s not, just need to put a few $$ into the property to make it more in its price point. Enjoy the big island, it was great!

My family thoroughly enjoyed the property for one week. It is in a fabulous location and had amazing views. I was impressed with the property from the moment I walked through the door. The property had all the essentials we needed for cooking. There were beach chairs and snorkeling equipment. I am glad I brought my own snorkeling equipment because there was not enough for our large family. Although the chair in the master bedroom needs replaced, the master bedroom was incredible and such a nice retreat. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent experience, wonderful rental house

This was our first trip to Hawaii and I wanted to be outside as much as possible. This place had multiple outdoor sitting areas with fantastic views of the ocean and city. We had beautiful sunsets every evening. The house was very spacious and lovely and we made good use of the kitchen. After spending the day in town, it was so nice to go to the house where it was quiet (other than the wildlife). We also very much enjoyed the pool when we weren't at the beach. The entire family was extremely pleased with accommodations.

Ono Hale is an incredible place to enjoy the big Island. It offered a spectacular view with enjoyable ammenties such as a private pool. The home was clean and we'll kept, needless to say it was sad to leave.

We had a great time at Ono Hale! The pictures are very realistic to what the actual location looks like. We had our family of 5 plus 2 friends and there was lots of room. There are lots of stairs so if you have trouble with stairs this isn't the place for you. The driveway is very steep so again it could be tricky getting in and out. There is no air conditioning but it was never an issue, well ventilated. The pool is not heated and that would be my only complaint even though I knew that when I booked. We would spend the day out and about and it would have been nice to lounge around the pool at night but the water was just a bit too cool. If you are staying there all day, the temperature would be fine. The accessories in the home are beautiful but the furniture is a little worn out. The home was clean and the management group was great. I would strongly recommend this place to any of my friends.

My family and I loved staying at this incredible vacation home with pool. We loved the spaciousness of the rooms and lanai, the Hawaiian flavor of the house and the awesome pool!

We were there with our family - our two adult children and their spouses, plus our 15 month old grandson. We arrived at night so we were unaware of the amazing view until the next morning when the sun rose! We all agreed the house was a great place to stay! We loved the openness of the main floor, the large kitchen, and the beautiful big lanai. We also enjoyed having the pool, even though it was a bit chilly in the water (it was January), it was a great place to hang out. The stone staircase inside the house leading to the lower level caused some concern when we first arrived, but our grandson was so busy running around the rest of the house that he never went near the stairs!

We had eight people with three generations. While the older folks sat on the beautiful lanai, the kids played in the pool. The view is spectacular and we loved all the birds.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was beautiful and the pool was great! We loved that the pool was gated and not right outside of the house because of our toddlers. Literally did not have to leave this home at all if it weren't for needing groceries! We'd love to stay here again!

This spacious rental has a nice view from the balcony. There were several items in need of maintenance. We could not get port-a-crib to work, garbage disposal noisy, blinds not functional, seal broken on refrigerator and glass panel on balcony was missing, making it dangerous for our toddler. With some TLC I might have rated this higher.

The house was large and pool was nice bonus. Only a minute away from the main hwy, and just up the hill from Magic Sands beach. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Overall house is very spacious with an incredible view from the deck. We chose this house for the deck, view and pool and it has exceed our expectations. The garden is well maintained, the pool and the house very clean : we really appreciate. House decoration and furniture are kind of antics and well decorated. We found everything needed to make our vacation easy.In term of improvement:Have a welcome pack with Hawaiien products or samples (coffee, nuts or flowers).Some curtains in the master bed room are torn apart. Having a more personalized arrival instead of just a paper printed can be also well appreciated.Many thanks for having the chance to spend a week in this house.Mahalo

We had a great stay! Kids loved the pool & we loved the lanai! Beautiful sunsets! Beautiful views of ocean. It was very clean, clean linens. Spacious house, so lots of room to eat together, play cards & games. Has a washer & dryer. It was very easy to contact manager if had any questions. Good customer service. We would recommend this place.. Good location, went Costco,Walmart on way before we got to house.. next day we drove to south point to jump rock, another day we drove to Hilo to another jump spot & visit bigisland candies & Braddah Pops. Then last spot kids went to was the end of the earth to another jumping spot. We had a awesome time! BigIsland is beautiful!!

Comfortable, casual, well appointed kitchen. A lanai to live on.salt water pool at perfect temperature.

I am 70 years old and came here with my daughter and her family. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate recommending this home to others. Loved the pool, patio and the lanai. The view of Kona and the ocean are spectacular. The home was clean and well kept. However, I would alert those that are handicapped that the property has many stairs. While I was able to negotiate the stairs others may not.

We had a great experience at Ono Hale. The views are worth every penny and the house itself is gorgeous. Only a few minutes drive from Kona village, quiet neighborhood and amazing pool.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The view is breathtaking! Sunsets are amazing. We loved that all the rooms were very well spread out. It was clean upon arrival. Few things to keep in mind: it's a three story house-so there is a lot of steps. There is no A/C. But it's not bad at all we always left the windows open and we got air of cool air coming it at night. Also, the driveway is very steep. We had two convertibles and scratched the bottoms of them first time we pulled up, until later we learned how to angle the car while coming up to avoid scratching. It's manageable especially that made it up there on such low cars. Just take it slow. Other than that the house was perfect.

Awesome house! Amazing sunset views from the huge well protected lanai. The house itself is almost too big when spending so much time outside! Only draw back is that the house interior is not very toddler friendly as the big stair case is difficult to block but my little one had a blast on the carpeted lanai.

<br/>The house was incredible! We loved it. Beautiful, exceptionally clean, and very well stocked. It had lots of space and a great energy. Located a bit up the mountain, it was nice and cool, very quiet, and when the moon wasn't too bright there was tremendous star gazing. Just a short drive to town but still felt isolated. Perfect location. We didn't want to leave!

This is a wonderful property though the steep driveway challenging. Recycle bins for the property would be helpful, as well as extra paper goods. Not having extra TP and paper towels was rather unusual and not the industry standard. Little to no sun at the pool due to vegetation but lovely none the less. There were scuff marks on floor by kitchen when we checked in and some dust/debris behind doors. Many insects in house-roaches and centipedes seen. Because we had no information on wehre to find beach supplies we did not know they were downstairs-and rented equipment. The information is not in the guest book. Grill needs cleaning also.

Jaw dropping is the only way to describe this property! My friends and I felt like millionaires living here as the property is beautifully finished and the view to the ocean is to die for. The pictures really do not do it justice. Great amenities and spotless throughout. The management company were great, dropping round a requested spare key and the booking process was smooth and straightforward. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this property or the company managing it. My only suggestion would be a stored camp bed to use in one of the rooms to avoid using the sofa bed in the main lounge (yes - there are two!) or if or use by any children staying. However, the absence of this did not cause us any huge issues. We have already discussed our desire to return to Big Island and if this property was available, we would book it again in a heartbeat. I'd recommend this property to anyone who stands still long enough for me to gush about it. I even took a video to show my family how incredible it was. Loved it!!!!

Ono Hale was a wonderful place to stay. The location was great. The view was amazing and had the necessities we needed. The house was very clean and well maintained. The location of the house was great. Shops were not at a far distance. Overall we enjoyed the house and we had a great time.

We enjoyed Ono Hale to the utmost. What a spectacular place. Everything we needed was available. The setting is beautiful, landscaping gorgeous. If and when we visit the Big Island again we will definitely choose Ono Hale again!

I love this house! The hone is beautiful and immaculate, the grounds and pool are wonderful. The generosity and hospitality of the owner and care taker make you feel right at home. <br/>The only negative would be that there are many stairs and a steep driveway that would make this difficult for anyone with difficulty walking.<br/>The views are incredible as are the lanais.

Beautiful property with a fabulous view.

We stayed at Ono Hale for 3 nights after watching my daughter play in a volleyball tournament in Hilo. When we arrived at the house, we were amazed at how big and beautiful it was. We loved the lanai and it's view. The kids loved the pool so much so that we just spent all 3 days on property. Love this property and will definitely be back.

WE ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED OUR STAY! Its perfectly located in the middle of everything. We did not wanna leave the island especially because of this beautiful home.<br/>We will be back!!!<br/>

The positives included the location, the snorkle gear and the property. We were disappointed that the entire morning of our last day included visits by the gardiner and pool maintenance workers which kept us from using the pool and surrounding area. Plus, there was construction on the adjacent property with excess noise, which we understand was not anyone's fault-just disappointing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ono Hale. Our family of two adults and three teenagers couldn't have been more comfortable. The view is fabulous, the location is perfect, and the home is clean and spacious. The management company was quick to respond to a minor maintenance issue we raised. We can't recommend this place highly enough!

There is the beautiful salt water pool, it is so relaxing, private, and really made our stay a wonderful one. The house is a in a great location, convienent to everything.

This is the most awesome house. The spaciousness is absolutely amazing. Everyone of us were in awe. The home is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The landscaping private and gorgeous. Icing on the cake was the private pool. We used it at least two to three times a day. A total jewel.
