Good location and a nice property. The only down fall is the long walk up the hill for parking and transportation. If you stay in the upper units closer to parking you have the same issue for the pool and BBQ. All in all a nice location.

<br/>The property is good, however we found the dishes and dirty cutlery. In addition to this we were informed that the place was for 4 people when we made the reservation, but it does not support more than two, as there is no sofa bed and no reservation collision. There was a collision in the closet in very bad condition, which can not be considered. Overall, I found the value expensive for 2 people.

The rental unit was nicely decorated. When we first arrived, the wifi was not working. It was resolved within 1 day, which was nice. It was a nice base for us to explore Kona. Be aware there is no soap/shampoo, and no bathmat. The bed was comfortable and AC much appreciated. We did not cook, so cannot comment on that, but looks well provisioned. Washer/dryer also handy. The communal areas were well maintained, with a nice pool and hot tub. We were less pleased with property management company. They were contacted via phone several times about a lost item (that I left there, not that was stolen) and they never called me back to let me know of status.

Our rental was perfect for our small group. The condo was nicely decorated, furniture was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. There were even coolers and ice packs which we used to take food with us as we traveled around the island. The kids liked using the boogie boards that were also provided. The only issue we had was the air conditioner being on a timer so you had to keep getting up at night to turn it back on.

This was our third stay at Kona Maki. This unit was the best yet.

Accommodation was in a great location but upon arrival carpets were very dirty missing bedding for the extra bed for my daughter needed to contact the management a couple of times and after initially denying the carpet was dirty sent over carpet cleaners and bedding etc. Everything was a bit worn and tired definitely could take the money we spent over 10 days and used it to upgrade and paint

The condo was clean and the condition of the condo was okay. The air conditioner was broken and the maintenance department never returned my calls about it. Blake did call me and apologized for them not calling for 2 weeks. He also sent over someone to replace the light bulbs that were burned out.

We were very pleased with our stay at KM 2-102. The condo was clean, well kept, and with a gorgeous view! The condo had everything we needed, towels, beach towels, boogie boards, noodles, an umbrella for the beach, along with other convenient items you wouldn't expect from an overpriced resort. The condo was stocked with enough paper products to start off the trip so save your money and drive up the street to Walmart for your extra supplies, ABC stores are pricey on everyday items. The pool is clean and sits right by the ocean, love it for the days we didn't want to drive up to Hapuna Beach, but it's definitely worth the 40 min drive, best beach we went to by far! They have BBQ grills and chairs out by the ocean so you have a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The grounds are kept up immaculately and the grounds crew were very friendly! Perfect spot for our vacation! If we come back to the Big Island, we will stay again!

Everything in this condo is exactly as shown so we knew what to expect. We picked this condo building because we wanted to be close enough to town to walk and we wanted something ocean front. As most people say the grounds are beautiful everywhere! Sitting ocean front in the lounge chairs and using the barbeques we met many great people and it made the experience even better. My husband is a good swimmer and snorkeled many times right out front and was near dolphins and a manta ray too! Anytime we sat in the lounge chairs in the morning we saw dolphins swimming by and jumping around. The condo had everything we needed and dealing with Knutson when booking was great. Also we contacted them while there when the toilet leaked and they sent a plumber right away to fix it to prevent any damage. You need to be aware that if you leave food out you will get tiny ants right away. Also we would have liked the bedroom to be cooler. It was usually pretty warm for sleeping and the fans just didn't help much and the air conditioner is on a timer. Overall had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

We would recommend this property to all our family and friends. It is in a great location and the grounds are beautiful. Perfect place to watch the sun set.<br/>

Knutson and Associates were good to work with. They were communicative and accommodating. The condo is okay, but could use updates. The bedroom blinds should be replaced and there's an odor in the place that's not pleasant. I wonder if they shouldn't remove the carpet and use tile instead.

Knutson and associates were professional, helping with all of the changes that had to be done and making sure it was as relaxing as possible. The place was clean. The only thing was little theif ants that were in the bedroom

Very comfortable and clean apartment with everything we could need during our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really well. Pool area was lovely and we also enjoyed the table tennis. Well maintained gardens were delightful to look out to from our lanai.

My husband and I spent a relaxing week in this comfortable condo. We were surprised at how quiet it was considering it is a ground floor unit. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary essentials for our cooking needs.... plenty of utensils, dishes, cookware even some oils and spices. The washer and dryer was a plus. We didn&#x2019;t expect to find the boogie boards and ice chests and were so glad they were provided. The only negatives to this condo was the fact the bed and pillows weren&#x2019;t very comfortable. Very hard. We ended up sleeping on the huge sectional couch most of nights we were there. The TV wasn&#x2019;t very user friendly also. The pool and BBQ area was great. We spent a lot of time with a cocktail sitting in the lounge chairs watching the sunset right on the shoreline. The grounds and landscaping was immaculate- just gorgeous. We definitely will stay at Kona Makai again in the future?

We enjoyed the complex, great location. Condo needs some updating - bathtub and carpets replaced. Always love our stay in Kailua. Would recommend complex but would not recommend unit until it gets new carpet and tub for sure, new linens would be nice as well.
