A Bavarian-themed Cascade Mountain village on the Wenatchee River, two hours northeast of Seattle through Stevens Pass — Front Street's gingerbread-and-shutter storefronts, Icicle Creek's summer swimming holes, the Sleeping Lady ridgeline above town, and Stevens Pass ski resort 35 minutes west off US-2.
Leavenworth sits at 1,170 feet on the Wenatchee River where Tumwater Canyon opens onto the Cascade east slope — two hours from Seattle via US-2 over the 4,061-foot Stevens Pass. Front Street's Bavarian theme came from a 1965 town-revival committee that voted to repaint every storefront in alpine-village style after the Great Northern Railway rerouted away; the result, sixty years later, is the most committed theme-town in the country. The 8th Street pedestrian core — between Commercial and Front — runs Andreas Keller's Bavarian dining hall, the Nutcracker Museum, München Haus's beer-and-bratwurst patio, the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm, and the Front Street park where the Christmas Lighting Festival flips a million lights on the first three weekends of December.
Our rentals stretch from downtown walk-up condos to riverside cabins along Icicle Creek and the Wenatchee River. The Bavarian Mountain Suite and Suite Serenity sit walking-distance to Front Street; the Beaver Hill, Bearfoot, Icicle, and River Song chalets line Icicle Road and the Lake Wenatchee corridor with private hot tubs and creek access. Most cabins sleep 4–8 with full kitchens; larger Lake Wenatchee homes go to 12+ for ski groups heading up to Stevens Pass.
