Phoenix Gulf Shores 1903-1

The western half of Alabama's Pleasure Island — sugar-white quartz beaches at the foot of AL-59, the Hangout's wood-sided patio over the strand, the 6,150-acre Gulf State Park, and the 22-mile Fort Morgan peninsula running west to the Mobile Bay ferry.
Gulf Shores anchors the western half of Alabama's Pleasure Island — a 32-mile barrier between the Gulf and the Intracoastal, with the public beach and the Hangout where AL-59 hits the water. East along Beach Boulevard, Gulf State Park's Lodge & Spa and the 1,540-foot Pier sit on three miles of preserved Gulf-front. West, Fort Morgan Road runs 22 miles past Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge to the masonry star-fort and the Mobile Bay ferry to Dauphin Island. The sand here is 99% quartz silica washed down from the Appalachians — some of the whitest on the Gulf coast.
Our rentals lean toward the older side of the strand — Lighthouse and Phoenix high-rise condos on the Beach Boulevard corridor, west-side beachfront cottages along Fort Morgan Road on stilts, Bayou la Batre-style townhomes in the Cottages at Romar Beach, and Bon Secour bay-side homes with private docks. Most beachfront condos sleep 6–10 in 2–3 bedroom units; private Fort Morgan cottages sleep 8–14 with full pools and direct beach access for multi-family weeks.
