The southernmost of Anna Maria Island's three cities — Bridge Street's three-block historic Gulf-side walking strip with the Bridge Tender Inn and the Sea Hagg gift shop, Coquina Beach's free Gulf-front parking under Australian pines, the bay-side Bridge Street Pier with grouper-and-snook fishing, the Longboat Pass jetty at the south end, and the only city on AMI where you can drink-and-walk on the bay-side Bridge Street historic district.
Bradenton Beach sits at the southern end of Anna Maria Island — the seven-mile north-south barrier island, with the Cortez Bridge crossing the bay into the city's east side. Bridge Street is the three-block east-west historic walking strip running from Gulf Drive to the bay-side Bridge Street Pier — the 1920s-era Bridge Tender Inn (sit-on-the-floor bay-side bar), the Sea Hagg gift shop and antique store, the Slim's Place cash-only burger joint, and the Sea Side Quarters arcade. Coquina Beach (the island's main southern Gulf access) is two blocks south of Bridge Street with the longest stretch of free public parking under Australian pines, a lifeguarded swim zone, and the Coquina Bayside snack bar. Longboat Pass jetty at the very southern tip of the island is the local-favorite snook-fishing spot.
Our Bradenton Beach inventory leans into the Bridge Street and Coquina Beach walking-distance pattern — small Gulf-side cottages on 12th, 11th, and 10th streets south of Bridge Street, two- and three-bedroom bay-side condos in the Sunbow Bay and Bermuda Bay Club buildings, four- and five-bedroom Gulf-side pool homes south on 6th and 4th streets, and a few six-bedroom luxury properties on the Avenue C corridor. For the broader Anna Maria Island experience including the Anna Maria Pier and Holmes Beach's Manatee Public Beach, see our separate Anna Maria Island and Holmes Beach microsites. The free Anna Maria Island Trolley terminates at Bridge Street's east end. Sarasota–Bradenton International (SRQ) is 25 minutes east; Tampa International (TPA) is 60–75 minutes north.
