The unit was clean and comfy. We had everything we needed for a great beach vacation. Communication from the property management company was timely and relevant. We did not need to get a hold of them but I knew exactly what to do if we did. <br/><br/>The complex was well maintained and we felt safe and secure. <br/><br/>I would stay here again in a heartbeat. <br/><br/>

Had another great stay at White Sands. We have rented this unit multiple times and have never been disappointed.

This is great place to stay for both great beaches and places to eat or shop! We could just cross the road &amp; we were at magic/white sands beach! The condo was roomy, very well stocked &amp; really clean, plus very comfy beds. It had everything you would need<br/> for a day at the beach...&#x201D;everything &#x201C;! We didn&#x2019;t lack for anything. We could sit on the Lanai &amp; hear the ocean waves. The pool are was very nice and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this place to others and plan on returning sometime in the future!

Rental unit #118 was clean and well appointed with beach amenities for vacation (boogie boards, pool noodles, umbrellas). The unit was spacious and perfect for my family of four. Loved the large porch. There are views of White Sands Beach, as well as the pool from the porch, which is great, except if there are loud people in the pool. The unit is directly over the pool. The quiet hours of the complex start at 10 pm. A couple nights there were loud groups at the pool for a while. This can be great if you are the group partying, but if you have little kids, it can be tough. The complex is well maintained. We used the pool and the communal grills, which were nice touch. The property manager was easy to get in touch with via text, which was good, since we had an issue with someone parking in our designated spot (resolved easily). Would be nice if there was an update Big Island Revealed book, beach bag and Tommy Bahama style chairs available. Loved that there was a washer/dryer but the w/d unit was hard to use.

The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. From there, we could just walk to the beach or drive south or north to other wonderful locations.

Only negative experience was locating the right condo door since the apartment number is not marked (hint: it is first door to left when stepping off elevator. Was unnerving attempting to enter not knowing if it was the right door coming from Florida where you can be shot for even being on someone&#x2019;s doorstep where you don&#x2019;t belong on accident. Other than this experience, GREAT condo well-stocked with all kitchen pots/pans/plates/cups/utensils for more than 8 people. Extra trash bags, laundry detergent, TP, paper towels, dishwasher pods, towels, extra sheets/blankets/pillows. The couch is also a full sleeper if needed to accommodate more than 4 people. Balcony is very nice sized overlooking the pool/hot-tub/BBQ pavilion and views of mountains on one side and beach and sunset on the other. Spectacular vistas!! Couch/bed comfortable. Very clean. Do expect a couple crawlers as it is tropical climate but bug spray in closet. Ample beach towels, beach gear (boogie boards/cooler/2 chairs/beach mats/snorkel gear. Covered parking under the condo right next to elevator (quick/roomy) and stairs. Condo is across the street from a pristine white sands beach with bathrooms, outdoor showers, plenty of shade, sand volleyball court, lifeguard in stand (they are very vocal to warn visitors of the danger of the waves). Beach sand is very soft, no shells and waves are more appropriate for boogie boarders...even the entrance to the beach water. Beautiful crystal clear turquoise waters, but waves are rough upon entry. There is another safer beach a couple blocks north on Ali&#x2019;i drive with rock walls to break the waves if you prefer calmer waters. I&#x2019;m a good swimmer, and hubby (6ft 1in) and I both got knocked down and dragged by a wave in the entrance to the beach water. I respect the waves and typically stay shallow for this reason, but still rough waves even in the entry. Lots of sunglasses in the water and even dragged one of my flip flops from the rocky ledg

Everything was perfect!

We recently spent 10 days at this unit. The unit was as described in the listing. We loved the quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of town but still close enough to restaurants and stores. Parking couldn't have been more convenient to the location of the elevator/stairs and the unit. This made moving in and out a breeze! The management company was in constant contact to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We had a few minor hiccups that were easily rectified. I appreciate their diligence and precision with solutions. The unit is well furnished and has ample supplies for cooking. We loved the fact that there were supplies for the beach as well as snorkeling. Overall our stay was great and I wouldn't hesitate to return to this location.

This was an incredible place to stay near Kona. We were extremely pleased with the location and management. We were allowed to check in early, which was very helpful. The condo was stocked with amenities, especially for the pool and beach. We loved the large lanai and ate dinner outside almost every night. This was perfect for our family (kids ages 7, 9). The pool does not have much of a shallow end, and at some times of the year, the ocean carries away the sand, so the beach across the street isn't always a sandy beach. I plan to stay here again next time, it was perfect!

Just my husband and I stayed in the 2 bd, 2 Ba. We wanted the location across the street from the beach. The unit was supplied well and we were very comfortable for the 10 days we stayed

First of all i wanted to say thank you so much for an amazing time my family had at this beautiful place in Kailua-Kona. We were so pleased to see that our room was clean, smelled good, with an amazing view from our balcony. Have yo say that the management was super nice and friendly. Also pool area is so much fun. I come to Hawaii every year and i am so glad i found this place. Will absolutely stay here over and over again. I highly recommend!!! You will have an amazing, unforgettable time here. Enjoy

The property was obviously well taken care of. The unit was clean and well stocked. We couldn't ask for a better location - being across the street from a fun little beach. The Management company very helpful and responsive.

Everything was so clean! the unit was perfect, we were very happy!

The condo is beautiful, functional. If you don't have a car, this condo is a little ways out, but you have a beautiful beach right across the street. My only complaint about this place is the front door lock. This is a safety issue and should be address ASAP. The door is hard to open, lock and unlock. Seems like a screw needs to be reset or something simple. The art in the condo is wonderful and fun to look at, the supplies in the house are everything you would need. Including a couple of boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler. The only thing I would add is a drying rack for the back porch. If you want to have a great snorkel experience, go to Two Steps. It is about 25 minutes away and a wonderful free snorkel area where we saw loads of fish, eels and dolphins. Go to the right of the boat ramp. Sunsets on the beach were amazing every night.

We spent 9 days enjoying the island. Morning swim at Magic's and off for a day of adventure. The kitchen was well stocked and the chest on the Lanai had chairs and plenty of dive gear. We used the grill and had a couple of great dinners by the pool.

Everything you can think of is here in the condo. They have snorkel gear, and coolers for your island outings. Close to the beach and a great pool is included! I would definitely would stay here again!

Great time

I am hoping that my comments when I called were followed up with the owners. The unit needs some TLC. The kitchen utensils need an update and inventory. They had items in the cabinets (food) dated 2015. Great unit just needs some love and attention

We are a family of five and loved every second of our week long stay in Kona! The condo was perfect for all of us and had every amenity that we could have wanted. It was so nice to come back from the beach and have air conditioning as well. The condo's location made it easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go and being across from Magic Sands Beach was an added bonus as well! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

The condo itself gets a 100% 's obvious that it's a place that the owner loves and cares for. And for us, the location is perfect. However, there were additional charges that were less than obvious at the time of the booking that made it tempting to cancel. This included an agent's fee and the requirement for a four-figure cash/cashier's check security deposit. The deposit would be waived with he payment by buying security insurance. That insurance would not cover a charge if the housekeeper determined that you left too much undone laundry. We will return here (and possibly buy one of the units some day), but probably will book a different unit under different management.I would actually recommend this property and this particular unit, but beware of some extra charges lurking in the fine print.
