Beautiful cabin on Owen Lake. Great for the family. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful and well appointed home for a large family or group. Well taken care of - clean with great views and location on well sought after Lake Owen. Our first time on Lake Owen and we plan to rent again!
We have stayed at this cabin for the past 3 summers. We have 5 couples that stay for about 5 nights.

The location of the rental and ease to town is also a huge perk of this rental!

Cleanliness of the cabin is unmatched - bedding, furniture, living spaces and kitchen are spotless upon arrival. The grounds as well are always incredibly clean.

The amount of space you have is unbelievable- with 4 spacious bedrooms and 1 full loft there is more than enough spaces for everyone to sleep ... in addition to a very spacious and open basement. If you are traveling with kids - there would be a ton of space downstairs for them all to sleep.

We have family staying at a cabin on the lake and often host a dinner with all of us, roughly 20 people between the two cabins and there is ample places to sit and eat, cook etc.

The only suggestions we have is maybe changing the loft into more of a closed bedroom - so this very large house has 5 actual bedrooms. Or at least closing off the open air downstairs look so the individuals sleeping up there aren’t bothered. And switching the twin beds to queen beds instead - maybe using the twins for downstairs extra sleeping.

We will continue to come back to the Serenity on Lake Owen every year it’s able to be rented. We love it at this home and love being on lake Owen. Thank you for another wonderful experience!
We enjoyed our weekend stay at Serenity of Lake Owen. The house was beautiful and very clean. The layout worked out perfect for the 3 couples with large bedrooms on each level. The kitchen has high end appliances which worked well for our meals. The cabin is centrally located near Cable so easy to access nearby restaurants. The only suggestion would be to have additional garbage bags - minor complaint. We definitely would stay at this vacation house again!
We have been going up to Lake Owen for over 15 years and staying on the north end of the lake. Not only was this house amazing - clean & very spacious but the location being close to Cable (only a few minute drive) made all the difference. This cabin had more than enough room for our 9 people and a couple of our family members to visit for dinner. Only suggestion is add a wine opener & have a larger garbage depository - more cans and / a secure spot for bears? It was odd to have it right next to the house. I also would say this is definitely only a 4 bedroom - the open loft room is more of an extension of the upstairs room then separate space. If you stay in this area you can hear every single thing happening and the bathroom doors/room doors opening and closing.
We stayed at serenity for the Birkebeiner week as we have done for a number of years now. As always it was a fantastic experience. The property is wonderful and conveniently located. Everything about it has been a perfect over the past several years and our RP provides excellent service and oversight. We've never had any significant glitches or problems at all. It's a testament to their organization and streamlined function that things always work so well! Thank you for all involved. Ralph Bovard
Such a wonderful hidden gem! Very relaxing, clean and comfortable beds and pillows. We had a group of 6 adults and 2 babies and this place was perfect.
We had another terrific stay at Serenity on Lake Owen for the Birkie weekend. RRP has consistently provided us with superb lodging over the past decade (or more). Our skiers come from San Francisco, Portland (OR), Montana, Mpls, and sometimes parts unknown. It is always a delightful reunion and a joyful pageantry. Kari and the RRP staff make it happen. Thanks again! the Snow Leopard Nordic Team
Great rental! Clean beautiful house on a great and lake! It was perfect for our family! Lake was clear but some leaves in water down by dock! Def would rent this again
This was such a relaxing vacation. The lake is so clear we just wanted to hang over the side of the boat and stare at the bottom.
Yes. No worries. The pictures of the interior don't show you multiple sitting areas and how comfortable the home is. The furniture, bedding, appliances all were first class with no worries or concerns. The 10 of us found plenty of areas to retire and enjoy the absolutely gorgeous view. You're within 20 minutes of at least 10 restaurants/supper clubs/coffee houses . You're within three golf courses. You're within 10 minutes of a grocery store. But yet when you drive down to the house you feel alone and "up north".
We are one of six couples who get together for golf, kayaking, shopping and general goofing off each Labor Day weekend. We look for a lake home on a lake, near a golf course and good dining. That home needs to have at least five bedrooms (for adults) two baths and a dining table that will accommodate all twelve of us. The lake views are a bonus!!
Beautiful view. We had issues with the stove top not working but the management company was very responsive and bought us some electric skillets. The property is very nice.
Not quite what we expected. This was our 5th year staying at a cabin in the Cable area. However the only year we couldn't swim or play in the water near our cabin/dock which was a disappointment as this was by far the most expensive cabin we have ever rented. Upon entering the cabin, we found it very hot, almost 90 degrees inside, and dust and spider/bug remnants everywhere. We were not able to turn the air conditioning on until we replaced all the batteries in the thermostats. Then we focused on replacing the batteries in the fire alarms that were beeping and then went on to installing new light bulbs as almost 50% were out. Once we got everything to where it should have been we enjoyed our stay. Many things needed attention, the grill was filthy, there is no where to put trash and may others, which if I were the owner I would make sure were not a renters problem to deal with. The house is beautiful and the view is amazing. Water around the dock needs to be raked to be usable, but not something we were going to do. I could have called and complained about everything we weren't happy with, but didn't want to waste my vacation worrying about what should have been done before we got there. So, hopefully this helps bring attention to what could be a unbelievable VRBO home. However it's not worth the extra $ until it's taken care of how it should be.
It was great
My wife and I were one of six couples that stayed at Serenity over Labor Day weekend. This home almost met our needs: we were short one bedroom but we made it work, using an alcove on the walkout level for an airbed. We liked the fact that there was plenty of room in the kitchen for more than one or two people and that the bedrooms were designed for adults - no bunkbeds for those of us over 30 years old. The dinning room was large as was the deck, overlooking the lake (the lake was also larger than we had anticipated, which was also a good thing). The management was very responsive to our needs (when we arrived there were only 8 coffee cups and 10 drinking glasses, so the management brought more of both). The only "odd" thing was that we were expected to bring our own towels. This was the first rental home expecting such, after renting a dozen or more previously. We liked the home so well that we rebooked the home for next year already. Also, the "beach" and water in front of the home needs some serious maintenance - a lot of leaves and debris at the water's edge.
Beautiful home with an equally beautiful view. The layout worked well for our family. The home was clean and neat upon arrival. We had no major problems. We did have some difficulty locating and setting the thermostats. Also, it would help if the wall light switches were labeled. The grill was in good condition but two of the gas control valves did not indicate "Off" correctly. If you use the grill, be sure to turn the gas off at the tank after each use.
Overall we had a very good experience and hope to return next year.
Serenity was a great location and a very nice house. Had a couple issues checking in as the management company didn't coordinate key transfer with us initially. However, they quickly remedied the situation. Also had an issue with the microwave not working, but the management company quickly delivered another one for us to use as well. In summary, the great property and the management company's responsiveness made it a great weekend despite some initial issues.
This is a beautiful property with great views of the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by the pool table and ping pong table that were not pictured. Overall, a great getaway experience that is highly recommended.
