My husband and I have rented Sandy Shores several times over the years and it always feels like home. We love the windows that look out at the lake, the bright airy feeling of the home and the yard/pier. We hope to come back many times in the future!

We stayed at Sandy Shores for a weekend of nordic ski races at the Birkie Trailhead. We were just far enough away to be out of the commotion but close enough to be convenient. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for the weekend.

We had a wonderful time at Sandy Shores. The cabin was perfect for our party of 5. The cabin was clean and the linens, pans, etc worked great.<br/>Our kids loved the sandy beach and jumping off the dock!

Our stay was heaven! Charming cottage with sandy beach,perfect for swimming, on Lake Namagogen. Forest on both sides for quiet and privacy. Beautiful views of lake and wildlife. We were there in the fall and saw migrating ducks,swans,eagle,loon and a young fox in the forest. Kitchen was perfect for our needs and well stocked. Location is central for restaurants,fishing,in Chequamegen Forest. Immaculate and tastefully decorated! Highly recommend!

A beautiful home with all the amenities. Sandy beach and sand bottom continues past the end of the dock. It is walking distance to the Loon Saloon with fantastic food. Have reserved for next year.

We are very happy with Sandy Shores rental on Lake Namakogan. Perfectly equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean, beautiful location and will rent again. We suggest swapping out the shower head in the shower off the bathroom - cold water pressure was low. Hot was plentiful. That would be our only suggestion to the owners. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We loved the rental.. was very clean and everything worked great.. the only problem is the holding tank so you have to watch your water usage.. the lake is so clean.. the kids had a blast jet skiing and fishing..we lived on the lake for 20 years so are very familiar with the area..

We loved the location of this cottage. It is walkable to Loon Saloon and their little store. The best part was the little beach to swim from. Not many houses on this lake have this perk! The cottage was very clean as well, and the owner is very nice! You can rent a pontoon directly from her.

Sandy Shores was just as clean, well appointed and comfortable as when we last visited in 2018. Great location and the view can't be beat. Really enjoyed the dock extension with built-in benches. We spent a lot of time out there. Appreciated the extra precautions due to COVID19, but bring your own coffee filters, and be prepared that the 9 am check out is a bit of a challenge. Thank you for sharing your wonderful lake house!

We (a group of women on annual getaway) had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and the location was great - close to Garmisch and Rock Lake ski area. The lake view out the large front windows was especially nice.

We had an amazing stay at Sandy Shores! The house is absolutely perfect in size and has a wonderful set up. We loved that the lake was RIGHT THERE! What a perfect location to amazing hiking, food, and even a Golf course. The house was clean and in very tidy shape, including the VHS which were all in number order so you knew where to put it back (even when my 1 year old took several out!) The RRP was very helpful and sent several emails right up the day of visiting and departure. We loved that all the amenities listed on the website were available for use, and that there was a helpful binder with local information. This home definitely is one worth staying at, we look forward to visiting again.

We love Lake Namakagon and this was a perfect rental for a quick getaway before school started. The home was very clean and perfect for our needs. We look forward to booking again soon!

Nice location and the unfinished basement worked perfectly for storing water toys, kayaks, and wet gear. We really enjoyed the property and will definitely do it again. Thank you.

Sandy Shores was a great property to spend a few days away. It is right on the lake with a view from the living room and bedroom. The property is close enough to visit some bars and restaurants in the area. The owners/management company were pleasant to work with.

Yeah colors were beautiful place was very clean. Looks like new mattress in master bedroom. A little pricey for just my wife and two very well behaved littl dogs. Maybe in the future you can suggest like we always do, keep dogs off furniture and if leaving for and length of time buy a little doggie gate and keep them in kitchen with doors shut. Worked out perfectly. May not stay again because of price.

We had a great experience at Sandy Shores! What a comfortable home with all the amenities you could want! Beautiful windows looking out at the lake, vaulted ceilings and skylights-very open and airy! It was a home away from home.... :)

My family - 6 adults, 3 small children, and 1 small dog stayed at Sandy Shores in mid July. We found the home to be everything as described in the website. The only downfall is with that many windows in the living area and bedrooms good luck sleeping past 6:30am. We rented a pontoon boat for the week. The first night (Saturday) it would start but not engage in forward or reverse. I called the rental place and the man came over at 8:45pm and made the simple fix for us. We did a lot of fishing off the pontoon boat and caught scores of good size blue gills with some perch and crappies. It didn't take Babe Winkelman to catch them. The shore area had hard sand so our granddaughters could go into the water right there. The problem was there were ducks around all the time and we all got varying degrees of swimmer's itch. We later ended up doing some swimming on a sandbar area not to far away from our rental unit. The nearby Loon Saloon had all the extra supplies and gas we needed to compliment our week stay. We'll definitely try to come back in the future. Inspite of the swimmer's itch we all had a great time.

We stayed here with another family for a winter weekend. Worked out well for us.

The cottage was amazing! Having been coming to the Northwoods for 30+ years, this by far was one of the nicest, cleanest, comfiest cottages on Lake Namakagon! Thank you for comfy beds, a stocked kitchen of all the gadgets, clean bathrooms, air conditioning, and a welcoming environment for my dogs and kids. We look forward to coming back soon to Sandy Shores!!

Sandy Shores has a great location on the lake with close proximity to "The Loon Saloon". The cabin is clean, bright, spacious and is well equipped. Beautiful views of the lake and nice dock.

We had a great time at Sandy Shores over the New Years weekend. The house is very nice, and the fireplace was great to warm up with after a day of snowmobiling. Kari from Recreational Rental properties was great to work with, hopefully we will make it back again in the near future.

It was a great vacation! The house was extremely clean, well kept, good amenities and awesome space. We loved the outdoor area and everything about the rental process was easy. The neighbors were friendly and many things to do within easy driving distance. We loved every minute of our stay!

We can't think of anything we did not enjoy about this home. It was spacious, clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The view from the living room was so beautiful and we looked forward to coffee on the deck each morning. The kids enjoyed swimming and the lake frontage was enjoyable. A few more lawn <br/>chairs would have been appreciated. It is obvious the owners take pride in this property & we look forward to staying at Sandy Shores again. <br/>

Our family of 5 have been vacationing on Lake Namakagon for many years. Sandy Shores was a wonderful clean and spacious cottage. Kitchen was well stocked and beach area was great for kids and the dog. Can't wait to come back again next year.

Overall we really enjoyed our week at Sandy Shores on Lake Namakagon. The cabin had everything that we could need. The sunsets from the living room windows are amazing. Although the shoreline is sandy, as others have said, with the ducks around our kids did get swimmers itch after the first day. The rest of the week we found a different beach to swim at. The only other problem is the dock is too short to get out to deep enough water to safely dock a real boat. At the end of the dock there is only 20-22" of water so the hull of my V-bottom was pounding on the sand and rocks all week with every boat coming by. The property owner also owns a dock business so I would think this would be an easy fix which would bring us back again to Sandy Shores next year.

We had a great stay. The house was clean and in good condition. Everything was just as advertised, and the management was great to deal with.

Wonderful time. This was our second visit to Sandy Shores, having stayed last year too. I grew up on Lake Namakagon in the 1950s and 60s, and our place was actually right next door, so this property has special meaning. We also rented a pontoon from the owners and that went well. Chris and Charlie are wonderful owners and keep an immaculate place. We hope to book again next year at the same property. Thank you!

Wonderful vacation home. Giant windows overlooking the level yard, sandy beach and lake. Sunsets were spectacular. So clean it's hard to believe it's pet friendly. Comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Great location on a quiet cul-de-sac, yet walking distance to the Loon Saloon for a bite, or bait. Caught 2 good sized Northerns right from the dock! The small bath shower door leaks to the point we didn't use it, but we left a note and assume it will be fixed. Only one other slight complaint...the neighbor's obnoxiously loud bug-zapper was a bit of a spoiler while trying to enjoy a quiet evening or the call of the loons. In any case, we would definitely stay at Sandy Shores again.

We enjoyed this cabin as much as we did our first stay. The water level was slightly lower than last time and our boat bottomed out at only 16 inches. Another section of dock is needed. The cabin is well kept and the view is fantastic. Comfortable beds for a rental.

Great home on the shores of Namakagon. House was clean and ready when we arrived and had no issues while we were there.<br/>
