We loved this cabin from the time we entered the door. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and I look forward to returning for a longer time. Its been a few weeks now and we both still say that we miss the cabin...We will be returning.....
The cabin was beautiful and the location was great. The only complaint I have was the hot water didn't last for more then 2 minutes and the jacuzzi tub wouldn't stay filled because the stopper was broken.
This is the 4th cabin & the cleanest cabin I've stayed in at Bear Creek Crossing.
The address information for the cabin was incorrect in both the Eden Crest app and in the emails sent from Eden Crest. It wasn't a huge deal though because the correct cabin was located next door and the person from Eden Crest was very helpful on the phone. The wireless info for the cabin (name and password) was also incorrect in the app/emails but again it wasn't a big deal because the correct information was easily located on the modem which was easily located in the bedroom. There was no formal check in process. A code to unlock the front door was texted to my phone right at 4:00 which was insanely convenient. Checking out was a breeze, all I had to do was click on a link that was emailed to me. The cabin was very beautiful and matched the pictures online. The cabin is located in a gated community which was a nice surprise. Even though the cabins are located close to one another it still felt very private. Everything in the cabin worked perfectly. We took full advantage of the kitchen which had a very nice fridge and was fully stocked with cookware, plates, utensils, dishwasher etc... The hot tub on the back deck was definitely a highlight. We had a beautiful view from the back deck, it was lovely to see all the cabins lit up at night and the mountains first thing in the morning. The gas grill was awesome, we cooked out a lot. The jetted bathtub was incredible, very big and worked well. The cabin was stocked with an ample amount of towels for two people for two nights which was great! The cabin is only 3 miles or so from the main strip in Pigeon Forge, a perfect distance to feel close to activities and at the same time the cabin had that secluded smoky mountain feel. The cabin was beautifully decorated. We stayed 1/8 - 1/10 and there were still two Christmas trees up which was a lovely surprise. The cabin featured two fireplaces, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Overall we were extremely happy with the cabin and cannot wait to return.
We had a very nice time, but had trouble with tv control set to watch DVD (the cabin needs instructions for people like us) The bathroom is small but has a half bath. We enjoyed the free ticket to the Aquarium, ice cream at Mad Dog's Creamery! The Magic Show at WonderWorks was great! Thank You!!
My husband and I take a good bit of trips and this was most definetly our favorite. We have a condo in Pigeon Forge and have stayed there almost every year. This experience was so much different and we loved it. It's so quiet and we loved having our own little world while still being just minutes from the action of the city. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for so quiet alone time. The pool table was also a lot of fun! We can't wait to come back!!
My overall stay was very satisfactory. The cabin was easy to find. Very nice community. The toaster did not work and the microwave oven door handle was loose. I reported it to maintenance and they came out that morning and fixed it. The only negative was the bedroom carpet was stained in numerous areas. The location was great in that it was not far from the downtown activity in Pigeon Forge. Eden crest rentals was very friendly and professional. Would definitely use them again.
We stay one night and woke uo to a phone call our boarded dog at Pet Smart had to be rushed to the emergency Care Center overnight during our 1st night. We had to leave to return home to make a decision for his surgery or to put him to sleep. We could not stay but wanted to return in a few weeks if the rental place could have helped us uot and let us use the nights we could not stay for a future rental. They can confirm our dog was sent to the emergency vet thru Petsmart if they want to. Our litle boys as well as ourselves were very disappointed to have to leave our vacation early. I the case of an emergency it would have been nice for Eden to be conciderate of customers hardships. We were so excited to be going on a nice vacation. But got stuck with still stuck paying the rental fee plus $1,046.00 for the emergency vet bill. Cabin was cute and clean if that helps but no concern for hardships here.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Eden Crest. The area was beautiful - nice pool, scenic views, and nice cabins. I also thought all the free attractions and area deals were a great value. However, this rating is lower due to Sugar Shack. I would not stay in this cabin again. The layout of the cabin was very open and spacious. We enjoyed the whirlpool tub, pool table, dart board, and the satellite TV. Yet, the couch was unacceptably dirty and worn. No one wanted to sit on it and if you did, you sank into the middle. The master bed also really needs a new mattress. Finally, although I was extremely grateful for the dog-friendly property, I think the owners should invest in a steam cleaner. The number of large, visible stains in the bedroom carpet was shocking. I can't believe the owners would consider the cabin clean. Reading others reviews, it seems as though Eden Crest doesn't take responsibility for the cabin interior; however, since it represents the resort, I think that these recommendations should be taken to the owners with more encouragement to update the interior.
Me, my sister and her husband enjoyed out stay at the cabin. There were a few issues like one of the sleeper sofas was missing the mattress and the toaster did not work.
This was the best weekend of our lives to date. The cabin exceeded all expectations and the views were incredible all over the property. We were happy that we were able to bring our dog Rosie who loved it too. The back porch view at the Sugar Shack gave us a beautiful sunrise engagement that we will remember forever. We will definitely be back.
Love the setting and quality of the cabin and grounds. We have stayed here every year for last 5, usually bunch of guys on the motorcycles. Decided to bring my parents and nephew down, they had great time. My lil nephew Bricton(5) loved the cabin, didn't want go to town. The staff is excellent, they r always professional and take good care of you.
Second visit to EdenCrest. Will definitely go again!
Mostly a good experience. Two things that need improvement. 1. On arrival the air conditioning is set on 75 degrees. It took till the next morning to bring the temperature down to being comfortable. Also, the ice bin in the refrigerator was emptied and the ice maker was turned off. This took 2 days before adequate ice was available to get it to come out.
great time staying in this cabin and if owner`s would update the sleeper sofa`s it would be 5 star
We arrived late at night and had no problems entering the gated property. Directions were easy to follow even in the dark. When we entered the cabin it was clean and looked great. We really enjoyed being able to come in at night and unwind with a game of pool. I would stay in this cabin again.
this is our second time to stay at the Sugar Shack. Love the place, the view, we could bring our pet and especially the online app that had everything we needed for the cabin and access. I would suggest the owners look at other comments as we agree that the master bed and couch could now be upgraded. The upstairs couch was also not able to be slept on when pulled out. Made it a little challenging to sleep 4. All in all, we will return and very happy with Eden Crest accommodations.
My wife and I had a great time at Sugar Shack. As always, this cabin rental through Eden Crest was top notch and was exactly as advertised. The cabin had great views of the mountains and was very quiet and peaceful.
I loved the cabin. It was clean and very cozy. The game room upstairs my girls loved it. The only thing I didn't like is that the couch and bed is wore out. Not really comfortable. Also if you rent this cabin in the winter may want to have a 4*4. Over all we had an awesome weekend and will be visiting again next month.
Sugar Shack was delightful. We were there to kick back and relax, and that we did. Serene and quiet was what we found. We were far enough away from the tourist hustle and bustle yet close enough to catch a few shows and grab a bite to eat. It is what you expect and more for a cabin in the Smokey Mts. I would suggest the couch and chairs in the den and the mattress be replaced. However we were comfortable and rested when we had to leave. Thanks to the staff at Eden Crest for providing a nice place for us to chill and relax. Will return soon.
Loved it
Overall the experience was a positive one. The view from the cabin was fantastic. The customer service from when I called to ask about extra linen was superb. Generally, the house presented a clean appearance. There is a few negatives that I would like to highlight. The hot tub could probably use some maintenance. Some of the jets work well and some seem "clogged". Temp worked well and lights worked but some jets did not have any back pressure. The wood floor in the living room had some pretty horrific scratch marks. The carpet in the bedroom was worse however. It either had not been steam cleaned in a very long time or it was due to be replaced. Stains on a pet friendly rental are to be expected but... the floor in the master bedroom was definitely at the end of its shelf life. Master bedroom vent could use a quick dusting. Speaking of dusting, the upstairs ceiling fan looked like it hadn't been dusted since the cabin was built. It was pretty bad. In addition to the fan upstairs; there is a window sill up there that was very very very dirty with dust and had about 60 dead lady bugs, a few moths and a couple of flies. Its an insect graveyard up there. Lastly, the pool table needs to be leveled. The amount of lean on it makes that feature of the home basically unusable. I know it seems like a lot of gripes but, overall the experience was a good one.
Wonderful!
Had a great time and really enjoyed the cabin. Only negative is 'dry-county'...only beer available. Otherwise a really enjoyable experience.
Had a great weekend. Cabin was nice.
cabin and location were great, but the cabin was not FOR A HANDICAPPED PERSON except for the ramp to the front porch: door to 1/2 bath was not big enough for a wheelchair, reg. bathroom could not get to sink, tub was not a step in tub and there was not enough room for two people to move safely, no bars to hold on too. This cabin should not be advertised as handicapped unit! All the mattresses need to be replaced.
We just loved everything about this cabin and did not want to leave! Very nicely decorated, spacious for a 1 bedroom, and the back deck with grill and hot tub and awesome views was amazing. Will stay there again if in the area.
The cabin was very nice and conveniently located. I loved the gated entry. My only problem was the beetle infestation. Overall we had a great time and would stay with you again.
Could tell that this was a pet friendly cabin upon walking in. Couch could use replacing. A bit removed to get to town. Stressful parking at an angle.<br/>I am from Indiana not Illinois for crying out loud!!!!!
Fabulous!!!
It isn't really handicapped access throughtout...didn't like that it said don't move furniture or you will be charged an additional $100...felt likek I was staying in a condo.
Overall it was a good stay. There was a problem with the fact it was not really wheelchair accessible. In fact when I first got there I could not get in front door due to step but they did come put a ramp at front door. Place was then Simi wheelchairaccessible.
I did enjoy most everything about this cabin. it was perfect size for a couple and had all the basic needs. I have to say that we did not have good night sleeps on the king size bed. it felt like a cheap mattress and we had aches and pains all night. Maybe others won't find it that uncomfortable though.
Snow storm came through- we love snow! The steep, curvy, roads to the cabin were covered, and our car could not make it, so we parked at entrance and walked up the mountain to the cabin. Lovely, winter wonderland, our Springer Spaniel had a blast. <br/><br/>Next morning 3 4 “ snow and 11 degrees, so worried about getting car up to cabin for Sunday checkout. It wasn’t booked, so called to see if we could buy extra night if necessary. Rep left a message for the office to call us back. They never did. Saturday the roads had been plowed, they were still very slick, but were able to get car up to the cabin.<br/><br/>Sunday morning, 15 minutes prior to checkout, key code was changed and we were locked out in 11 degrees without coats or phones! Fortunately, we had car keys, drove down to entrance but office is off site. Borrowed neighbor’s phone, after being on hold for a few minutes, were given new code, managed to get up to the cabin, get our stuff, and get on our way. <br/><br/>Cabin was lovely, clean, with wonderful view. King bed OK, a little creaky. Kitchen adequately stocked with supplies, but larger party might find a little slim. Hot tub on rear deck, next to the Master Bedroom runs all night, which doesn’t make for best sleeping. TV has limited channels, no DVR, so can’t record something to watch later. Wifi OK, about 14 mbs. Cabins very close together, but Sugar Shack is on corner, neighbors on one side, woods across street, the great view in back. Service road/trail, across the street great for hiking.<br/><br/>We recommend this cabin, but advise low expectations for Management. While always friendly and courteous, locking guests outside in freezing weather 15 minutes prior to checkout is a MAJOR screw up! If we were to stay here again, we would likely look for a cabin managed by a different company.
The cabin was clean and view beautiful. Everything was great except the bed mattress could have been a little more comfortable. I thought the office was in the area with the cabins and had already been in town so did not get to the office. Checked out via mobile so that was very convenient.
A very quiet midweek stay . good location. Affordable. A few problems though . Ants on food left on counter.surround soremotes turns off by itself. Dead batteries in a couple of.remotes.
Sugar shack was a great getaway for the weekend and very convenient to both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg!
Will definitely be returning soon.
I right this review with mixed emotions since I didn't get what I paid for, which is not entirely management fault. I had a death in my family that I found out 4-5 days prior to my stay. If there were traveler's insurance to buy, I didn't see it so, I didn't have it. Mgt was unwilling to adjust my arrival dates so I missed out on half my stay, even though calendar showed it wasn't booked. We travelled to cabin stayed overnight and then travelled another direction for a funeral the next day. Not wanting to waste money I was more tired to really enjoy. Cabin will overall clean, no MAJOR complaints. I just re-washed the dishes since some seemed not as clean. The master rug had spots/stains throughout but it did appear as it had been cleaned. My kids loved the place and I enjoyed the time I had. There was not a lot of grass for walking dogs, so I probably wouldn't recommend bringing one. The cabins were within reach of each other. Make sure you review the app link in depth as well. The code to the cabin was not included on the app like it was originally noted, so upon arrival we had to travel back down the mountain in the middle of the night (since my reception was choppy) to call and get cabin code. I would probably staff again at these cabins in the community but not with these owners.
Overall a good experience. The app could use some work.
Everything was perfect. Blaze our English Springer Spaniel loved the back deck. The cabin was clean and I liked the security of the resort. Walked the Gatlinburg Fall trail every day. There is really only one trail for pets. That's ok we liked the serenity of the location. The coupon card was a great touch with all kinds of free items.
Excellent rental and service.
it was a nice little cabin we had a great time.
The cabin was awesome and the layout was great. Though the cabins are close together in certain areas, they still have a private feel due to the steep hills offsetting the neighboring cabin. The master bed could be updated and the carpet in the master bedroom, but the rest of the cabin was excellent!
Really clean place. Bed was just right. No traffic. We could get out & just walk around the resort. Also had 12 meg internet connection. We'll be back!
The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. It is close to town with all the attractions. Our daughter loved the indoor pool inside the resort. The view from the cabin was beautiful, especially at night. Eden Crest was very efficient in getting us all the information we needed and check out was easy. Thank you.
I would definitely recommend this cabin to folks looking for a mountain getaway- it’s off the beaten path but still within close proximity to shopping and outdoor activities. We initially thought (based on website photos) the cabin would be a bit more private and in a serene location, but our neighbors were relatively quiet so it was surprisingly peaceful. The cabin was clean upon arrival; however, we didn’t have enough sheets, pillow cases or towels for our party. The management team was quick to answer our phone call and provided us with ample linens for the remainder of our stay. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes/pots and pans/utensils etc, private hot tub was a plus and the cabin we plenty roomy for 5. I would’nt hesitate to give a 5 star rating if the price was cut in half. $400 a night was far too high for the over-all experience.
The cabin was nice but, the surroundings were not what I expected. The photos project peace and privacy. During our stay, we found that the cabins were too close together. There were much traffic and sounds of loud music, as well as, kids yelling next door. The Jacuzzi Tub's motor ran all night, trying to keep its temperature which vibrated and hummed very loudly right underneath the bed in the main bedroom. It was very noisy and disturbing. <br/><br/>I realize there is not much you can do about the crowded population, but the loud humming during the night from the tub??? Maybe you could install a switch to turn it off. <br/><br/>I don't like to complain but, my stay was like being at home in my own neighborhood. There was traffic, kids and loud noises.
had trouble getting trash picked up and needed extra garbage bags called and ask for them but never received them so we had to leave a lot of trash inside by front door. Also really could of used a few more larger size skillets, besides that it was pretty good.
2 night stay for our 15th Anniversary. Cabin was beautiful. Nice and cool on the hot days. Comfortable sleep. Cozy decor. We received a free Hatfield and Mcoy dinner show ticket.
