This was our fifth time in Kona and forth time at Kona Reef. We were thrilled again with everything our condo had to offer. Location is perfect, the view is second to none and everything the complex has to offer was perfect. It was nice to have snorkeling equipment, chairs and coolers in our unit to use when we went to the beach as well as a washer and dryer to keep our clothing and towels fresh and clean. Pool and hot tub were a nice treat in the afternoon after the beach. Will definitely be looking for another available unit when we return in hopefully the near future!!!

Ocean view with crashing surf. Perfect for watching surfers and sunsets.<br/>Condo stocked with beach chairs etc. Comfortable furnishings for two people. Only thing we noticed was some vagrants camped near parking garage and hanging out nearby. Overall a good condo with spectacular views.

We enjoyed our 4 days at Kona Reef. The ocean front location is perfect and close to all activities. The property is well maintained and the management is very responsive. For short stays, the unit had everything you need.

We had a great experience booking with Knutson & Associates. I found this condo on VRBO and then went looking to book directly with its management company (always preferable, IMO). The location of this unit is outstanding. Just south of Kona village but only minutes on foot to restaurants, bars, ABC stores, and shopping. We stayed a week and loved the privacy and quiet of Kona Reef.

Beautiful condo, gorgeous views, nice lanai w/ lounge chairs. Pretty much all beach and snorkel equipment supplied. Nice walking distance to shops. Snorkeling on the beach just to the left (South) of the condo was just as good or better than the popular snorkeling spots.<br/>Two downsides: <br/>1.although not on the street, the bedroom is streetside so we heard some noise.<br/>2. No recycling can supplied<br/>3. I had to remove trash on the last day, and it wasn't easy to find. Wandered all over the property even when trying to follow signs. Ended up DRIVING down and to the far end to put it away. For the fees we pay, we shouldn't have to take out the trash.<br/>Other than this, it was a perfect stay.

No problems. Nice Condo

This is our second time in this unit and will always be our go to for Kona. The location is superb with a very brief walk to town. Just a tip cut down the back road towards the Royal Kona to avoid walking down busy Ali Drive. The room is well furnished and spectacular views. We ran into a couple minor issues during our stay but reps Claire and Mervlyn were absolutely fantastic with very quick resolution. Thank you again for another memorable visit.

We had a great stay here. The view from the lanai was spectacular. We saw numerous dolphins and it was enjoyable watching all of the activity on the water. There are binoculars to use to get closer views. The location was nice for walking to shops and restaurants. It is one mile from the pier. We used the beach chairs, towels and cooler and there is an assortment of other beach gear too.

This condo is clean and comfortable with a fantastic view. . The location is great. Parking is easy. The condo had everything we needed and we really appreciated the beach equipment.

This place is GORGEOUS. So close to downtown but you won't want to leave your balcony until after sunset. The place had a comfortable bed and everything you may need for a beach or even snorkel day. Loved this place and didn't want to leave!

Our stay was fabulous and the unit was wonderful, clean, full of all things needed for the beach. Loved the view and the deck furniture. Everything was amazing.

We stayed here for 7 nights, and loved every single moment of it. The highlight of the condo is the deck: On the second floor of the building it seemed to be only about 20 feet away from the rocks that the wave was crashing on: the view was beautiful, the sound of the crashing waves was relaxing, and the deck had two chaise lounges as well as a pub-height table and chair set that was high enough so as to provide views that were not obstructed by the deck's metal railing. Other things we loved: only a 5-minute walk to the southern edge of the main town; two powerful AC units (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) that did such a good job of keeping the place cool that most of the time we kept one unit turned off; walk-in shower had a fixed showerhead and a handheld one; living room TV had built-in Roku go five us access to all our streaming services (Prime, Hulu, MAX, etc.) while the bedroom TV had cable; kitchen had great supplies (including a rice maker, crockpot, blender, coffee maker, etc.); the bed was very comfortable and the place was very quiet (we are light sleepers, and we slept solidly every night); the covered parking structure (which meant our black Avis rental stayed cool) ; mgmt asked us if there was anything we needed and I mentioned that we could use a couple of coozies and dishrack for the items that we hand-washed each day (i.e. the blender)....and within 24 hours they sent over a 4-pack of coozies and drainboard; we also made use of the swimming pool and the chaise lounges on the grass area next to the crashing waves, and we took the included Tommy Bahama chairs and snorkeling gear to a couple of the beaches.

The property was just like it was described. We were very happy to see it was supplied with all kitchen dishes, utensils, and pots, etc., necessary. Some basics, such as salt & pepper, cooking oil, and plastic wrap were also provided. Also supplied were 4 lawn chairs, a couple boogie boads, an ice chest, ggand a couple sets of snorkeling equioment.

Really nice view from balcony makes a very relaxing stay. Loves the boogie boards, chairs, and few other amenities that made our stay even more fun.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Kailua-Kona area is very vibrant. Much more so than Hilo. The condo is nice and comfortable. The view is fantastic. It was nice to be able to park in the parking garage. There were some tiny ants in the kitchen, but it wasn&#x2019;t a big deal. A vending machine in the pool area would be nice, it could save a trip the store.

Loved our stay at Kona Reef #D26! The condo is in a wonderful location-walking distance from the main tourist area of Kona but far enough away for peace and quiet. Really enjoyed how close we were to the water, and hearing the surf crash on the lava shore just outside the lanai was a perfect way to fall asleep at night. The condo was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay, was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. It took effort to leave the lanai each morning!

The photos of this condo are accurate. It is "on the beach" and the views are unmatched by most of the more expensive resort properties. With a western view, you have spectacular sunsets just about every evening. Every night, the sunset is celebrated with a Hawaiian conch blowing ceremony on the beach behind the condo. Mornings and evenings, you have surfers and boogie boarders riding the waves which at times during our stay were up to 12 feet high. We loved our stay and will definitely consider a return visit. The unit has been very tastefully remodeled and is comfortable for two people. Parking is free and we always found a spot on the upper level which is closest to the unit. The air in the living room was not working when we arrived but Knutson got it working again quickly and bought a new floor fan for us to use while repairs were being made. The unit is well stocked in the kitchen and everything worked fine. Kona Reef was built in the 1970's so the units are not large or lavish but we were very happy with our stay. Falling asleep to the sounds of the roaring surf is as good as it gets.

The apartment was lovely with a gorgeous sea view. It was clean and everything worked for us. The only issue we had was there were no parking permits in unit even though in the instructions it said they would be there and were needed in the apartment complex. We arrived about 8pm at night and the person I called from the rental agency seemed a little disgruntled that I had woken him up! Anyway I called the agency the next day when they were open and ended up walking there and picking up the pass. They gave me a bunch to leave in apartment so basically I did their work! It would of been nice to have a starter pack of coffee in apartment on arrival too. So the apartment was great but not impressed by the rental agency.

Condo was in a great location. It had great views and could watch the sunset every night. They had all the beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and snorkle gear avaible. All the items needed for cooking and staying here were there. Only 2 things that were kind of strange. The elevator does not go to any level where you dont have to take stairs. Very odd to have to lift luggage up or down eight stairs to get to the level you were on. Also the AC which was great, the outdoor condenser was on the lanai and it blows right at where you sit. So when its time to go on the lanai just turn off the 2 units and its not an issue. The condo didnt need them on for a hour or two while you sat out there and watched the view. FYI, binoculars were there to which i loved.

We have stayed a various units at the Kona Reef over the past few years and this was one of our favorites. The view was amazing, the pullout couch very comfortable and we loved all the beach items in the closet.

We were celebrating our 40th Anniversary so this Vacation Rental was perfect! The sunsets from the lanai were amazing. It had everything you needed to have a great time on the Big Island. It was a bit warm on the island during our stay, so the air conditioning was nice during the hot part of the day. Had an absolutely wonderful time here!

I don't know where else you can be right on the surf from your lanaii, right next to a small local beach with surfers and boogie boarders to watch from the lanaii or beach, hear and see the waves and surf, pool, grilling and many amenities and still be only a 5 minute walk to downtown kona. It's our 4th stay there, so that's saying something.

We loved watching the waves, seeing surfers catch rides and making it back for sunset. We fell asleep on the loungers to the sound of the surf and were sorry to head back to the bedroom for the night. Comfortable and has what you need, and the view was mesmerizing.

This condo had everything we needed for a stay in Kona. The location was great for easily accessing beaches, shops, restaurants, and main thoroughfares. We had everything we needed for a great stay and enjoyed our time and stay in Kona!

Great location with a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset. Condo was very clean and quiet. Breakfast/lunch/dinner on the balcony was always a great experience and view. Parking was never an issue no matter what time of day. Condo was recently renovated and looks amazing. Easy walking distance to great shopping in Kona. Very close to many beaches. Knutson & Associates (Blake) was incredibly responsive any time we had a question... we loved working with them. This was our dream vacation and our dream place to stay!!! 10/10 experience.
