Two of us spent two weeks here and found the accommodation comfortable and beautiful. The location is ideal and the condo offered all the amenities necessary to make this a great vacation stay. Kona Makai is located on Ali'i Drive and is walkable to the shops and restaurants in Kona and is an easy drive also. The ocean views from the property are lovely and the evening sunset is never the same twice—great people in the complex and very well maintained. I highly recommend this accommodation for your trip to Kona!

Easy access, check in/out, and relaxing place to stay for the trip. Everything we needed and we like staying at the Kona Makai for location and some of their amenities. We were looking forward to the lounge chair (pictured in the property description) for relaxing and napping but it has been replaced with a rocking chair ;-) Overall, very clean, comfortable plus had items like coolers and boogie boars that we always need / use.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kona Makai. It's a quiet condo complex. The bed is memory foam style and really comfortable. The lanai and living room have lovely lighting. The space is very peaceful.

This was such a nice place! Nice and quiet, has air conditioning, a pool, hot tub, and a GREAT ocean view!! I wish the pool was open later than 9pm (since there is no lifeguard anyway). Great views, close to all of the shops and restaurants. We will be staying here again when we come back!

very easy check in. Great, well-kept complex with a beautiful terrace by the sea. Clean barbecue area right by the sea. The room is practically furnished with everything you need. On the balcony you could start the day in peace and let it end in the evening. We can recommend this accommodation.

Definitely recommend to stay here, it’s so close to all the shops and restaurants, has cute walking distance to Green Flash Coffee cafe, walking 2 minutes from our place, please check the ocean area you have in the back that’s surrounded by lava stones (absolutely beautiful!), our bed was like sleeping on a cloud, I enjoyed the balcony and the view. 10/10 stay! I could keep going on how much I enjoyed our place! Would recommend to family/friends, I appreciate that the property management checked on us to see how we were doing, and property description was exactly as described.

We loved this place! My wife said she would be content to just stay at the condo. Close to restaurants and shops in Kona, but far enough away to be quiet. The amenities were good, but I would recommend some basic condiments be supplied (ie the salt and pepper shakers were empty). <br/><br/>The one complaint was the directions -- they said the turn was about 9 miles from the airport, but signs say 7 miles. This small error made us lost as we drove by the turn and couldn't find the street. We spent the previous 24 hrs in airports and on planes so we were exhausted and got lost. Our Iphone saved us and I would have used it first if I wasn't so tired. A map with the street names before the turn would be helpful.

This condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. Convenient parking too! Window A/C units in living room and bedroom were necessary, there were ceiling fans also. The bed was very comfortable and the complex was quiet except when the real estate agents were showing the condo above us-they were very noisy starting at 8am. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Mahalo!
