The place is perfectly equipped and decorated. It really couldn't get any better. We LOVED it!

We had a great vacation with our 2 sons,2 daughters in law, and our 11 month old grandson.The unit was a perfect size and had everything we needed. It was also probably the prettiest condo we ever is a little away from everything so a car is a must.Our only complaint was that the maids said we didn't wash the beach towels. Didn't know we had to clean the linens before we son even vacuum once.Also there was no laundry detergent. I had to buy a little bottle of Tide because I brought pods.Other than that we enjoyed ourselves and would come again.

Don't be fooled this is more than a nice place to live. The kitchen is better stocked than mine at home. The garage had 4 bikes to use, a tire pup - manual and one that plugs into car, 6 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, snorkel gear - kids sizes too!, boogie boards, paddle boards, paddles, beach toys! WOW that was unexpected and so useful. Plus, you get to use a private beach with lots to do - you can walk/bike there. A black sand beach is a bike ride away! <br/>We were traveling with 2 grown children and this place allowed each of us to spread out and have our own rooms and bathrooms. A central pool and a gym was very well maintained. The only thing this place lacked was a private backyard. The community is a private, gated community that was about 50% full - so plenty of privacy. Costco is about 40 min away but a well stocked grocery store is near by. So happy with our vacation.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the golf villa and were greeted by a nice gift of shortbread cookies. This rental provided all the comforts of home that you could think of needing. We were shocked to see the beach chairs, snorkel gear, boards and other sport gear available. The Mauna Lani club access was very nice and the beach had nice calm waters and provided a great place to snorkel. Would love to come back again with family and friends in the future.

The unit was spacious and very well equipped not just with the basics but with many other convenience items. The garage had bikes and beach gear, all perfecting organized. We had a couple minor issues and the management responded very quickly to address them. We will be returning.

We absolutely enjoyed two weeks at this lovely condo! The home is well maintained and so cozy and comfortable. All the amenities of a home away from home were provided. We recommend G2 for a lovely stay for your vacation!

The management company checked in with us before our stay and during. Everything was clean in the condo. The location is wonderful with the pool nearby and the beach a short drive. We cooked many meals in the unit with ample cookware and dishes stocked. Most activities and attractions are a 2 hour or under drive from this location. It is easy to go down to Kona or over to Waimea and Hilo. I would gladly come back again.

Our 2nd time to stay in G2 and just like our 1st time, it was perfect! The beds are so comfortable after a long beach day, location is great to get food and easy to go to Waimea or Kona, and Wayne is an excellent communicator! Mahalo again! A hui hou!!

Great communication with Wayne for last minute booking, perfect location with great amenities, the most comfortable couches and pillows in bed, and everything well kept and clean! Cooking pans and pots were awesome quality and breakfast at home really felt nice, especially when eating out at the lanai. Cool breezes and beautiful view!

We stayed here for 1 week in January and decided part way through to extend for another 3 days. The house is as advertised - spacious for our group of 6 (could have easily housed 8 with our 2 small kids). The house has everything one might need - including beach stuff (snorkels, paddleboards, boogie boards, etc.), baby stuff (pack and play), laundry, etc. The house is best described as comfortable - we really enjoyed hanging out on the back porch every evening. Due to covid, the neighborhood was very quiet- maybe 20% of units were occupied. The only issue we had was with the pool. We arrived Jan 1 and that weekend was reasonably busy with holiday travelers. The pool reservation system (limited to 1 hour each day, no more than 8 people at the pool at any time) was cumbersome and overly restrictive, especially compared to everywhere else we went that had very reasonable policies for limiting crowds. The pool at the complex, is large, could easily be cut into sections that would allow small groups. But instead, they chose to be far more restrictive than anywhere else we went to in Hawaii. Of course, after the crowds subsided, this was no longer an issue, but if you're planning to go to Hawaii on a holiday weekend, this could be an issue if you want to use the pool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We were a party of 5 adults. The unit is located on the Mauna Lani golf course. It was very clean and well maintained. Sleeping accommodations were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had tons of supplies for cooking which was greatly appreciated. Nice outdoor patio with built-in barbecue. There was lots of room for everyone, having the loft with the couch/desk area upstairs and chaise lounge reading area on the main floor definitely helps. The resort property was well maintained. The pool, hot tub and workout room were right across the street from us - would be nice if the workout room was larger. There is a small shopping center (grocery, coffee shop, smoothies, restaurants, shopping) close to the resort which is very handy. The Mauna Lani Beach Club has a great beach, cabanas and chairs are available for resort guests. The water was perfect for swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding. The unit is very well equipped with paddle boards, surf boards, snorkel gear, boogies boards, beach chairs, towels, cruiser bikes and more. It is walkable to other resort beach areas or go for a longer stroll down to Waikoloa. We had one issue with the front entry keypad - Wayne was very responsive and had it repaired the next day. We would recommend this Villa!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We were a party of 8, 1 couple, 3 teens, 3 other adults. Sleeping accommodations were very good and comfortable. The kitchen had tons of supplies for cooking, which we did every day. Everything is really accessible and in great condition. We had to use the bar and outdoor seating for mealtime, but it was no problem. Plenty of space for everyone to sit, relax, watch tv or whatever inside and outside. The house was very clean, well maintained and very pleasant to be in. We all felt right at home. The resort was super quiet, we barely saw other people. We couldn't hear any outside noise from inside the house. The pool, hot tub and workout room were right across the street from us. All of which were very nice. We did checkout the main resort rec area (lap pool, tennis courts, lg workout room, fitness classes) but it was a bit of a drive and cost extra. There is a small shopping center (grocery, coffee shop, smoothies, restaurants, shopping) on the resort which we utilized multiple times and it was great to have it so close! We loved the beach resort probably best of all. Cabanas and chairs available for resort guests. The water was perfect for swimming, floating, snorkeling, paddle boarding, whatever you felt like. Even had a place to rent gear on the beach. The beach was clean and the water was crystal clear. The house provided paddle boards, surf boards, snorkel gear (although there were only 3), boogies boards, beach chairs, towels, beach toys, coolers, backpack, bikes and more. You can walk the beach down for a long way to other resorts, we did this and saw several sea turtles and other ocean creatures. The maintenance guy, Pete, was very nice and other than the wi-fi, quickly fixed the minor issues we had. Wayne was very responsive via phone, but not so much on email. We all agree we would stay here again! Loved it! Thank you for sharing your house!!

My family absolutely loves this condo! The unit has everything one could need and is beautifully decorated. It is in a prime location within the complex, which has one of the best communal pool designs I have ever seen. I highly recommend zip lining at Botanical World on the Hamuku Coast! The Forbes Family generously shares all the bikes, surfboards, chairs, umbrellas, etc in the garage (although the nearby private beach club is my favorite). Kona Sunsets Vacation Rentals is very professional and it feels like walking into your own home. Thank you Wayne & The Forbes Family for another fantastic vacation!

We spent 10 nights in this place late March 2019, we were a two family party with four adults and three kids aged 7, 4 and 1. There was plenty of space and privacy for everyone.We never met with the owner/manager during our stay but check-in instructions were easy to follow and everything we needed to know about the property was provided.We've stayed on the island a few times before and this was one of the nicest place we've stayed in. The unit is furnished incredibly well with comfortable furniture and beds, it was nice to stay in a place that had something other than wicker. There was plenty of beach amenities including snorkel gear (flippers and masks), beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, cooler, stand-up paddle boards, there were also three bicycles. Inside the unit the amenities were equally abundant with everything required to make a great home cooked meal, including fully functional appliances and newer pots and pans. Travelling with a baby was easy at this place with pack and play cribs (two) and a feeding chair that attaches to the table chair. The house is equipped with AC as well as ceiling fans in each bedroom which made for comfortably cool sleeping.While the house was clean I can't say it was spotless. In the bathrooms there was considerable water staining on all the glass shower surfaces. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a 3 bedroom place in the Waikoloa area of the big island.

Golf Villas (G2) is a great family location that is stocked with everything you need for a beach vacation on the big island. My kids loved the bikes, boogie boards and snorkel gear. Great snorkel beach close by and the pool is right across from G2 villa. Wayne the owner responds quickly and is very thoughtful. My family hopes to go back one day and I would highly recomend this villa. I normally dont write reviews but for G2 Villa I thought I should.

We have stayed on the Big Island several times. We have have 4 kids 12yrs and under. We love the location at Mauna Lani Resort. It is close to some of the best beaches on the island. We enjoyed the fully stocked garage. They had everything we needed for the beach: boogie boards, surf boards, SUP, chairs, toys, etc. All in all a wonderful family experience. We will stay here again!

What a wonderful relaxing area to retreat into. The accomadations were some of the best we have experianced. Wonderfully located to shops, pool, and the private beach was so handy. Wayne was very helpful with all our requests, and information. Such a wonderful atmosphere that we have already booked for next year.

We've stayed in a number of units at the Golf Villas and G2 is now our absolute favorite. There are so many great extras for a family with children (paddle boards, bikes, beach toys, pack 'n' play, high chair, etc ...), plus a spectacular sunset view. We will be back!

I reacently stayed at one of the Mauna Lani Golf Villas. The landscaping and beautiful flowers around the grounds were very inviting and beautiful. The condo was very clean and well put together. There was absolutely everything you need inside the condo to make you feel right at home and have a very pleasant experience. The kitchen and barbeque was fully stocked with everything you could possible need to put together any type of meal. There was a TV in every room with top of the line comfortable beds. I would recommend this condo to any person who wants a first class, comfortable Hawaiian vacation.

This condo was beautiful and in great condition. It feels like an upscale hotel. The whole resort is gorgeous. You have to drive to the beach area, but it's not far and we were able to see sea turtles as we snorkeled. The pool is right across the road from the condo and it is super nice. The grocery store at the resort is nice and the prices are no higher than other grocery stores on the island. Wayne was so nice to work with. We liked this place so much my husband keeps talking about buying a place here!

Condo was better than expected great location & comfortable

We had a very nice stay in G2 of Golf Villas at Mauna @Lani. Overall, the condo was nice but I do have a few suggestions for the owner. It was nice to have lots of spices etc. in the cupboard, but there was so much stuff, we had little room for any of our own groceries. The housekeeper should maybe go through the cupboards and toss out opened bags of pretzels etc. When we moved the two large chairs in the "reading area" it had been quite a while since it had been vacuumed under the chairs. Toys, large dust bunnies etc. In the bedroom upstairs, I had to retrieve something that had fallen under the bed and it was pretty gross underneath. <br/>It would be nice if there was specific Beach towels to take to the pool or beach.<br/>We were not told about problems with the air conditioner. We did not realize that every window etc. must be shut tight in order for it to work. One sliding door in the living room was not completely locked and the air conditioner did not work. I have A/C at home and would have appreciated a note on the owners manual, or even a label on windows explaining this.<br/>

We had a wonderful trip and very much enjoyed our stay. The property is very well maintained, accommodations comfortable and well stocked (dishes, utensels, snorkel gear etc...) Wayne with Kona Sunsets was very helpful and accommodating.<br/><br/>I have a vacation rental as well so I can appreciate the hard work that goes into it. The only thing I'd offer is the upstairs hall between the bedrooms could use painting, too many suitcase attacks but thats purely meant to be helpful not critical. We look forward to coming back!

Pros & Cons: Condo not so clean: soiled carpets & walls; windows & shower doors not clean. Obvious cleaning items that should have been addressed. Having said that, when I called the property manager the house cleaners returned and made property adequate in terms of cleanliness. Extremely nice location & condo layout. Good amenities. Outstanding property manager who could not have nicer or more responsive. And, when I fell ill with the flue, they assisted me in finding a doctor, which was very much appreciated. I would absolutely return if I were assured the condo would be spiffed up in terms of the things noted.

My family and I just returned from an amazing and relaxing stay at the Forbes' Golf Villa at Mauna Lani Resort on the Big island of Hawaii. The Mauna Lani is a fantastic resort with every amenity. The Golf Villas are in a convenient location and offer the privacy of having your own home rather than staying in a hotel. This particular villa is perfectly located across from the pool and is outfitted with every amenity. From the beach and pool toys in the garage to the beautifully decorated three bedroom and baths, no detail is left wanting. I will definitely stay here again and recommend renting this villa to anyone looking to stay on the Kohala Coast but prefers a kitchen,BBQ,w/d to room service!

I took my daughter and 6 of her BFF's to Hawaii for a graduation present. I was so pleased with the size of the condo. All the bedrooms were a good size. The bathrooms were new and clean. The decor was lovely and the furniture was very comfortable. 8 of us in the condo for 8 days and I could have stayed longer. Wonderful accomodations

My family and I had an amazing time at this unit in the Golf Villas at Mauna Lani. The pictures don't do the property justice. It is a wonderful home with plenty of space for the whole family. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back in the future.

From the moment we arrived at our accommodations at the Mauna Lani Resort, we were blown away by the unit. This was a palace! It had everything we needed, and was very spacious for 5 people. We used it to get ready for a wedding, cooked almost every night, and slept like babies in the comfy beds. We ran out of propane for the BBQ one night, and Wayne had people there the following morning with a refill. The unit is more beautiful than the pictures, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Side note: there is an additional fee to use the work out facilities. Over-all it was spectacular!

This rental is perfectly located on the big island and in a very exclusive development. It is very quiet and close to a private beach for area home owners. We didn't use the pool facilities but it was beautifully designed and very private. <br/><br/>The condo surpassed our expectations in every way. The bedrooms and living areas are large and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was huge and had everything you need for cooking and was augmented by a very upscale bbq and cooking area in the patio. Everything from first rate bath towels and bed linens to beach towels and toys are available to renters.<br/><br/>Finally, the condo is managed by a very professional vacation service so the reservation process and check in were smooth and pleasant. They also helped us resolve a problem with the AC quickly. <br/><br/>Everything about this place is first rate. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We had a very nice 5 night stay at Golf Villas. The condo was spacious, clean and well equipped. Great location across the street from nice pool, hot tub and small gym. It was a 2 minute car ride to the Mauna Lani beach club which is a nice calm cove for kids, also good for snorkeling right off shore. We were very pleased and would stay there again. Good value too.

We could not have asked for better accomodations during our trip to the Big Island. The accomodations were gorgeous, clean and comfortable. We especially loved the lanai where we ate, cooked and enjoyed the beautiful view of the property. The nearby shopping area was perfect and provided everything we needed. Our stay was perfect, thank you!

We had a terrific experience with this property. The location was out of the main traffic flow with great golf course and mountain views. The furnishings were good and the kitchen was well equipped. The rental agency was quick to respond to some minor needs when we first arrived. About the only negative was the beach equipment. We had only 4 inexpensive beach chairs which were low to the ground and difficult to get in and out of. There was also no beach umbrella and only one small, soft sided cooler available.

Perfect location, great condition. Very comfortable even with the maximum number of people there.

Simply amazing! Your family of 6 went to Kona for the first time to celebrate my wife and my 10 yr anniversary, her birthday and Mother's Day. We had an great time at the property. Very quiet, had everything in the garage you'd need for the beach including paddle boards, bikes, snorkel gear, baby toys, bassinet/pack and play, etc. The pool and hot tub were across the street which extremely convenient. In addition, the private beach access was something we utilized quite a bit. Maybe a 5 min drive from the house. Most of the days we went to the private beach it was quiet, great snorkeling, paddle boarding, going for a walk on the boardwalk or just lounging in the sun. The restaurant opened at 11am and had great food and was convenient the day we didn't bring food. As a golfer, the condo sat on one of the south course holes which was a welcome sight sitting on the patio during meals. Also, got a chance to play the course and you receive a little discount for staying at the property. <br/>Overall, can't say enough about the place. We'd definitely go back and would direct anyone looking in the area to this property.

What comfortable beds! We all slept well here. We loved the beach toys in the garage, the games in the house, and the well equipped kitchen. The kids enjoyed the pool and the nearby beach. Terrific snorkeling.
