Great rental at a very comfortable condo complex. Due to Covid, it was our third try to get back to Kona. Owners were very accomodating in allowing for re-booking of the reservation.

The was the first time we tried 219 Casa De Emdeko and had to say we loved it. Surely one of the best views and units we have had in Kona. Great communication and service made this an easy and relaxing stay. Even a bonus of folding chair and umbrella which was not mentioned but is a must. Super clean and the whole property was well looked after. The only knocks it has is that there is no designated parking for this or any other unit. Also the TV or cable did not work a few times without a hard reset which took forever to load. Not that we used it much but I did wish to watch the draft and it was slow. Other than that all good!

Three of us enjoyed 10 days of relaxation and sun at this property. Proximity to the salt water pool was a plus for us. This unit was well-equipped for preparing meals, beach trips, and enjoying the lanais. The views from this end unit are spectacular. We appreciated the prompt response of Knutson to requests for repair and upkeep.

We were not really sure what we were expecting when we arrived at the Condo complex. Instructions were crystal clear so it was easy to get into the parking lot and also the condo itself. The condo is spacious with 2 bedrooms (one has sliding doors rather than a closing door) and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms have been totally remodeled and are beautiful and the unit itself is very, very, clean. I could go on about the condo but the actual very best is the lanai - it is very large (in a wrap around shape) and has a couple of chairs, an actual bed, 2 loungers and a table and chairs that are literally ON THE OCEAN. The condo also overlooks the salt water pool. Will 100% book this again - thank you for the wonderful condo and the easy instructions. 100% satisfied!

Our stay at Casa de Emdeko 219 was fantastic!<br/>The view from the lanai is incredible, overlooking the saltwater pool with the ocean as a backdrop! The only problem we had was that the coffeemaker did not work. I contacted Knutson and Associates and when we got back from the beach there was a brand new coffeemaker at the front door! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and am looking forward to returning!

Super nice property in a super nice location.

What can I say? This unit is overlooking the ocean and can be seen from all of the wrap around lanai, kitchen, dining room, and living area. And can be heard from every room as well as the bedrooms. The unit itself is a little older but still very nice. My only critique would be that it would have been nice if it was at least equipped with coffee. A few other pantry staples would have also been nice, but I have no real complaints.

This was an awesome unit! The communication with the management company was amazing! The bed was comfortable and having the 2 bathrooms was a plus! The air conditioner was great considering it was hot and humid outside.

Attentive attention from Knutson and Associates. Always kept me informed with details about the unit and island. Beautiful unit with amazing views.

Easy check in. Property management communicated from beginning to end. Large Lanai over the pool and could walk to the beach and feel the Ocean Sprays!

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Location is perfect. Close to everything in Kona. The property as a whole is a bit dated, but this specific unit is in good shape. Great selection of appliances and cookware.<br/><br/>As some others have said, it is a little bit of a walk to get to the unit, and there is no convenient way up/down the stairs. But this would only be a concern for some that have mobility problems. Otherwise, it is no big deal at all.

The condo we stayed in had amazing views of the water and sunsets. The space had plenty of room for us. We loved the amenities like salt water pool right on the edge of the ocean.

We stayed for 5 nights in Casa de Emdeko 219 for our honeymoon. This unit is the best unit on the properties, it's located on the 2nd floor right above the ocean. We had breakfast every day on the huge patio and could see the fishes in the waves from our seats. Overall happy with our stay.

Great weather and location.

This condo had the most amazing view and salt water pool. However, it was a senior citizen complex and they were very strict and watched you like a hawk. And I mean watched you! The condo is old, and getting to the unit was a bit of a work out since the stairs were pretty tight when lugging up our luggage and coolers to the unit. The elevator they have would not work for this unit.

I loved this location and incredible view. The unitis large with a remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. It has a huge lanai with incredible ocean and pool views...loved it!

Aloha, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The sunsets were spectacular. The location was perfect. We were minutes from downtown. We walked and ran along the road in both directions. We were close to many public beaches. We also enjoyed the nightly celebration of the sunset with the conch ceremony! We swam in the salt pool. We saw whales and dolphins from the lanai. An added bonus is we didn't have to buy new snorkel equipment and we appreciated the beach towels that were available for our use. The coolers were also a great bonus! The whole place was clean. We were able to cook wonderful meals and we grilled in the shared space. Other guests were friendly and cordial.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa De Emdeko 219 in Late January, 2019. The wrap-around deck and view are spectacular. The condo has had a major face lift, especially the kitchen and master bathroom, since our last stay several years ago. The improvements are great. The condo was very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend this unit. The only suggestion we have would be to replace the funky furniture in the living room area and deck to match the high price tag of the rental.

The best thing I can say is that the apartment is just as depicted in the listing. Stunning view, nicely updated kitchen and bathrooms. Casa de Emdeko is a very friendly, welcoming complex. The team at Knutson are very responsive and helpful.

The condo is as pretty as the pictures. The Lanai is large and is a great place for watching the ocean, feeling a tropical breeze, and having breakfast. We enjoyed swimming beaches to the north and snorkeling beaches to the south. We had a minor issue with one of the toilets and thy cam right out to fix it. The fresh and salt water pool are clean and refreshing. We highly recommend

Everything was incredible, the views, sounds of the ocean waves, the kitchen is beautiful, the master bed was very comfy. Had one small issue with the thermostat and the ac not working, made a call and someone was there that afternoon. I had read all the reviews before our stay and those who mentioned having problems..maybe they were expecting something else, I don't know. Sure some of the daily maintenance things like small patches of peeling paint on the lanai haven't been updated but not sure what you expect being that close to the water! It exceeding my expectations and would certainly stay here again!

What an incredible location that made travel easier with a family with young kids! We couldn't have been happier with this rental and experience.

The location and the grounds are spectacular! The end unit is a luxury with its wrap around balcony and ocean views. We found the kitchen and amenities to be well stocked with everything needed for a great stay. Be aware that it is a walk + 17 steps from the parking lot as the unit is on the ocean!! Also, if you like a firm mattress you'll want to sleep on one of the twin beds or on the balcony as the king bed is very soft. Location of complex is very convenient - about a mile from downtown, can walk or take the shuttle. Property management was also excellent; we needed their help when we locked ourselves out of the unit at 11 PM.

The location is what sells this place; wonderful lanai, off-the-road quietness. But for the price you pay for it, this unit screams 'cheap!' Master bath is run down, probably hasn't been altered or painted since the building was built. Lumpy, uncomfortable beds and pillows, dark living room with questionable wiring and non-functioning lamps.

Loved Kona, the area was very enjoyable. The condo location was perfect for us. The condo worked out well for our family, the size was great! It was a bit dated, but very clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed with our two children 14 and 8. The view was amazing and i'm sure that is what we paid for. The condo was very outdated, and hadn't been cleaned properly when we had arrived. The sheets were dirty, dust hanging off the fans, and something that resembled feces on the bathroom floor. There was a note from the previous renter, that it was there when they rented the unit. Knutson & Associates quickly addressed the issue and cleaned the unit. I would highly recommend renting and will rent from Knutson & Associates again. I just won't be renting this unit. I think it was more money than it was worth. It needs updating, and DEEP cleaning. Our stay overall in Kona was wonderful, and we can't wait to go back. Knutson made our stay easy and smooth. No bumps in the rental process. Especially nice when you are traveling with children.

We come back year after year to stay at 219. We LOVE IT! You can't get closer to the water than this!

The location and view from the wrap-around deck are fantastic. The unit was clean and well stocked with kitchen gear and towels. The unit itself, however is in serious need of electrical upgrading, new furniture, painting, and definitely new blinds. The second bedroom, AKA cubbyhole, could be less of a downer with better furniture.

The condo was a perfect spot, and we enjoyed it very much!! The complex is older, but grounds are well-kept. The condo, itself, is a bit runned-down. Could use a thorough, deep cleaning.<br/><br/>The screens and sliding glass doors really need a good cleaning.<br/><br/>A few other things to mention:<br/>1. Although there was wireless available at the store on site, it would be nice to be able to have wireless in the condo. <br/>2. Beach accessories, such as a cooler, would've been nice to have available in the condo. Had to go to Walmart to purchase a mobile one.<br/><br/>3. There are locked cabinets down the outside corridor, but didn't find a key to them. The cabinets weren't marked for the unit either, so we didn't know exactly what could be in them.<br/><br/>4. Would've been nice to have a list of items available within the condo ahead of time, i.e., hair dryer, iron, ironing board, games, washer/dryer, internet, etc.<br/><br/>Other than those few small things, the place is a perfect spot. REALLY enjoyed the lanai!!<br/><br/>

I was a little nervous booking a vacation rental totally online. The pictures show exactly what you are getting. A huge wraparound balcony with a great view. We would sit on the balcony and watch the whales and dolphins while drinking our morning coffee. We enjoyed the location and would definitely come back to this unit. Convenient to everything around Kona and on the ocean.

Process was good overall. I booked the condo as soon as the booking system would allow (18 mos in advance). The deposit I gave was on a credit card which in the 18 month period between booking and final payment expired. When I was contacted for payment I was told payment was due 60 days prior to stay. I reviewed all paperwork I received and could only find mention of 60 notice of cancellation BUT NOTHING ABOUT FINAL PAYMENT DUE DATE. During my stay at the Casa I shared all my documents with Knutson staff and they were unable to find any mention of payment deadline; explained there must be something wrong with our software. I enjoyed my stay, everything was as I had expected. This is a great place to stay and very relaxing.

This ocean-front unit is clean and nicely-equipped including a comfortable king bed and new flat-panel TV. <br/>The views are spectacular, but the noise from the pounding of the waves meant we could not leave the bedroom window open at night to enjoy the cool breeze.

We lived on the lanai! We watched outrigger paddlers, humpback whales, spinner dolphins from front row seats! We were able to sleep outside, enjoying the cadence of the waves thanks to daybed and lounge chairs. The condo is "dated" but still very functional.

Pros: We had a great vacation. The resort was beautiful and the suite was perfect for a family of 6. Our kids(24 yrs old) took turns sleeping on the futon on the patio overlooking the ocean even though there were more than enough beds inside. We were able to see dolphins and whales from our balconey every morning. We watched all the boat tours that brought snorkelers and whale watchers in front of our resort. We had a family wedding at the resort so many times our unit was where everyone congregated as it was so large and the balconey was huge. Laundry available in the suite which was nice to throw a load in esp towels from the beach. Beds were comfortable. Lots of couches and chairs within the unit as well as on the balconey. BBQs available for use on the main patio with lots of seating and tables. <br/><br/>Cons: tiny little spiders/bugs were all over the kitchen countertops so constantly had to wash counters and never left any food, chips or bread on counter. Countertops were ceramic tile so crevices were hiding spots for bugs. Place is dated but was clean other than the bugs we encountered. Long walk from the car parking to unit for carrying groceries and luggage. The north side of the complex had a driveway that you could drive your car closer to unload.

I am not comfortable giving a poor review so I avoided this when asked the first time. This is the second request so I will avoid it no longer and will be honest. We were not booked into this room when we arrived and had to switch because there had been a problem in the original room. To give the benefit of the doubt, I don't think they meant to rent the unit at the time we were there. The toilets had not been cleaned and there were many repairs needed. The main ones were that one of the lanai doors was rusted shut (they told us about this), the other was very hard to open and the screen came off the track when moved. The dishwasher did not work and had standing water that smelled of mildew (which ended up soaking the bottom of the cabinet below the sink), the dryer vent was not connected and one bathroom sink barely drained. There were other smaller things as well. When sent this review to write I called the rental agency to tell them that I felt I had to tell about the problems in the unit and I was told that those things were being fixed. This room has a great view and the grounds are nice.

We enjoyed our stay at 219 Casa de Emdeko. The oceanfront lanai was the best part. We had coffee there every morning and watched the sunset every night. We also enjoyed the pool.

My family and I enjoyed 9 days at this beautiful ocean front condo with unforgettable sunset evenings and the soothing sound of surf. It was unforgettable and we hope to return in the future.

We stayed here for 8 nights. The view everyday was spectacular. We ate dinner on the Deck almost every evening because you don't get a better setting watching the 's a very nice walk into town, so the location is perfect.

When we arrived the unit was still not ready after 5pm. Previous tenants had locked the keys inside and they had to break in, replace lock and clean. The housekeeper was apologetic, helpful and very delightful. The unit has a truly suburb view. The maintenance and upkeep is poor. The hardware on both toilets (handle) were barely attached. My husband is a contractor and fixed them so we could fush. Screen door was off track. Deck furniture in very poor repair. We only used the table and one rocker. The master bath appears dirty but we saw it being cleaned. Fortunately the 2nd bath newly remodeled so we used that. With such a gorgeous view, it is a shame they have not maintained the unit. There is a reason why it is 125 for such a perfect spot. Stay on lanai and you will love it.

The view is great and beautiful, but some white towels are not very clean. And during our 3 days of stay, the supply of water has some problems in 2 days.

We had an amazing time here. The view from the wrap around lanai was my happy place and I spent many hours there. The condo is very clean and well laid out. Needs some updating but didn't bother us at all. My only complaint is that we only had 3 rolls of tp for a family of 4. Also a broom would be nice for clean ups in the kitchen. Overall a fantastic experience. Loved the grounds and the salt water pool.

Un sitio muy recomendable por localización. Muy bien en general, mejorable la limpieza general del apartamento, no estaba sucio, pero tampoco estaba limpio. La locaclizacion es correcta, a 3 millas del Pier, las vistas insuperables y la terraza tanto del apartamento como la comunitaria muy muy bien.<br/>Lo recomendaria.
