Great bed, WiFi, clean, and the view,of the lush garden made it a very relaxing stay.

We stayed here because it was oceanfront. The place was clean and comfortable. The living room furniture is not that comfortable but sufficient. The ocean view is minimal but you do get the breezes. We enjoyed the common areas very much. Awesome grills and it seems everyone from the complex goes there to cook at night and eat even. So you do get to meet ppl. if you want to. The parking can be crowded at times. This unit does have an older A/c evaporation system and without the sun hitting the unit directly is very cool and the a/c does a good a job. Would stay here again.

We found a little piece of heaven in this secluded but not remote property right on Ali'i Drive in Kailua-Kona! This property was the perfect place to unwind after a week long case that overwhelmed me. I was able to refocus myself in an atmosphere that was so peaceful...thank you for your wonderful hospitality & beautiful condo.

We stayed for 3 nights and found the condo exceeded our expectations from the descriptions provided. I have stayed in several rentals in Kona and this was my favorite. The ocean front and pools are great. The grounds are very well maintained. Everything in town is easily accessible, but the complex itself is very tranquil. Loved hearing the ocean. The AC was wonderful but spent a lot of time on the lanai. Beach amenities were available. We had no problems during the stay. There is a little market just next door. Management was very accommodating with a late check out for a fee. The bedding is a little dated, but we were very happy overall for the rental price and hope to return.

Casa de Emdeko #211 is a really great rental. The complex grounds were beautifully groomed & super clean and the staff were all very courteous, helpful & friendly. The buildings were very well taken care of. Casa De Emdeko is a hidden gem! The location was excellent for exploring Waimea to Volcano, and super close to Kailua town for going out to dinner & Hawaiian music or to wander thru the scattered open markets near by. #211's lanai overlooked the beautiful middle pool and you could see the ocean front pool if you looked west off the Lanai. You could also see and hear the waves lapping on the shore, very soothing. #211 was clean & well decorated. With 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms there was no waiting for shower time. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Casa De Emdeko for 1 week and had a wonderful time. The condo was clean, and provided all necessary amenities (however, there could have been more shampoo and conditioner). The location is ideal to access great beaches and downtown Kona. I rented a car, which I recommend to anyone going to the big island. Our condo was excellent! But I have to say, I'm writing this review because of the excellent service we received. Our PM, Devon, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience with our stay. We had some construction outside our condo, and she made sure to provide us with alternative options if we wanted to change rooms. We decided to stay, and I'm happy we did. But I do appreciate Devon's customer service and ensuring we had a good time! She was really awesome!

This rental was very nice and I was completely satisfied. I was excited when I discovered there was a stack-able washer and dryer in the unit!! It was very easy to access and the condo was very clean. Plenty of towels, dishes, etc. Amazing view from the balcony. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Location great, complex great. The unit not so much. The lanai furniture was rusty, the table top loose. The tap in the master bath barely dribbled. The fan in the master rattled. The second bedroom had no curtain so there was no way to darken the room at night. Except for 3 wine glasses, all the rest were plastic.

Except for the "vog" that was unusually early in arrival daily, enjoyed the view and amendaties of the unit. This unit is for sale and we were contacted by an agent for a viewing, not what you want in a vacation unit. However this was cancelled. The rugs throughout were very, very dirty. There were a couple of problems with the workings of various things, and were PROMPTLY taken care by the management. Very dated appliances but they worked after a fashion. Been to Kona, sometimes several times a year for 30 years. To the "Casa" twice before, love the pools.

Noise coming from 311&312 very annoying.These owners have little or no consideration for other<br/>renters.

I absolutely loved the ocean front salt water pool! Every blissful morning of my vacation began with a cup of delicious Kona coffee sipped on the balcony while enjoying the beautiful sights of the ocean, palm trees waving in the gentle breeze, and the manicured garden. The bright colors and peaceful chirping of the tropical birds where a bird watcher's delight. The condo was very spacious, plenty of room for the family.

We love this complex. It's quiet and friendly.

The condo was very nice, the carpets smelled musty and could use some updated linens etc. The booking process was awful. I provided agent with all the information including my CC and thought the condo was booked. Just days before I was to depart from home, by chance, I just happened to double check to make sure everything was in line and the agent said I never gave him my CC to confirm. I provided him with the email evidence that in fact, he did receive that email, luckily the condo was still available. I would have been very angry had it not been I must say. Then when we arrived, the agent failed to put the key in the lockbox and we had to scramble to try and get in after a long day of travelling this was very disappointing. The agent eventually showed up with the key, this was quite unprofessional in my opinion. The property is beautiful and I think the price was reasonable.

Our stay was very good . The suite is a bit dated but what can you say ,it is what it is . Carpets were pretty dirty ,the rest was clean . Staff are good they came over to change some light bulbs but I had changed they ,not a big deal .

The wood shutters in the master bedroom were broken and allowed light from the outside walkway into the bedroom while trying to sleep. This was repaired at our request during our stay

Casa de emdeco is a quiet, friendly community. It felt like a home away from home. The pools and grounds are very well maintained and gorgeous. Everyone was so friendly! We arrived late due to flight changes so the first person we met was Gwen who was incredibly helpful and nice! We would chat as her overnight shift was almost over, since we were waking up so early. Thank you, Gwen! Would rent again, if we could afford it, we want to buy a unit there!

It was a wonderful place to stay. Enjoyed the two pools and the ocean view. The property management was very attentive. We had a standing fan that did not work. We reported it and had a new one on our porch that same evening. Overall a great experience.

We really enjoyed the condo. Very compfortable and clean, although not "upscale" and a bit dated, for the price it was great! <br/><br/>I should have said something while there, but the main pool, although beautiful had too much chlorine to be able to use it. The salt water pool was perfect, so the kids used that one.

This was our second stay at Casa De Emdeko. We much preferred the 2nd floor unit to the 1st floor. The air in the room was pretty musty when we first got there but improved with the windows and door open. We loved the whole place and would definitely stay there again. My mom said that the mattress in the smaller bed wasn't very comfortable but everything else was perfect.

Spacious, good location, beautiful sunsets, steps from the ocean. Obviously not brand new carpet or wallpaper, but decent enough condition. Unit suited all our needs and was nice to return to each evening. Be sure to request anything you need by Friday at 5 or you'll probably wait to Monday. We thought there would be beach towels and a couple extra bath towels, but there weren't. They did offer to reimburse us if we wanted to buy some. Mornings on the balcony overlooking pool and with sideways view of ocean were lovely. Air conditioning kept things very cool. Large walk-in shower in master bath. Tub in second bath. Beds were comfy. Nice to have washer/dryer in unit. Parking inside gated area was often full at night, but there was additional parking available right outside the gate. There were a few dead bugs in closets and faint smell of bug spray first day mixed with carpet freshner, but I'd rather that than living bugs. Quick drive down the road to shops and restaurants in Kona. My mom, my daughter, and I really enjoyed our stay overall. If we go back to the Big Island, the only thing I'd do differently is arrange to spend one night on the Hilo side or south east area in order to avoid a 2.5 hour drive each way for Volcano National Park in one day.

Beautiful well-tended grounds. Plenty of parking, massage studio and small store right in the complex. Guests were friendly and engaging, and many gathered each night to watch the sun set and chat through the evening. One owner blew a conch shell each sunset. Huge seawater pool at the ocean's edge was a 10. Unit was clean, well equipped and large. The lanai was huge with eight chairs and a longing mattress. King bed was very comfortable. Only improvements might be different pillows and a honing steel to sharpen a few cutting knives. The kitchen was large with every utensil and tool you could need, and even had a spice rack. The space was perfect for four of us, and I would definitely consider staying again if I came with 4 people.

We enjoyed our week in Kona at this condo. Easy access and all the amenities we needed for a great stay.

Wonderful location, perfect for our work crew to get away from the long shoot days.

We have been staying at Casa De Emdeko for 8 years, in different units throughout the years, but this one was a bit disappointing. <br/><br/>The over all property is great, the grounds look great, the BBQ's are brand new and there was security roaming around for a nice safe feel.<br/><br/>The unit, #211, was a bit old, with a broken microwave (exterior), a dirty looking fridge (exterior) and the bed in the smaller bedroom was a joke. The bed seemed like a "display" bed, not for sleeping. The springs hurt so much that the bed was not usable and we ended up on the couch. The place did not come with ANY instruction for wifi (unless we missed this in the email instructions?). <br/><br/>The above did not hinder our stay too much and we still had a great time and will continue to come back here every year, I just hope they get a new bed!

Hi we had a wonderful stay in casa de emdeko as always. Unit was very clean with plenty of towels pillows change of sheets. Very important to us. The kitchen very well supplied.this was our second time in this unit 211. New mattress on beds were a plus thank you new floors a plus. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your unit.
